so I guess Trump is going to Hell...?
« on: June 06, 2017, 02:46:41 PM »
Well, some on this forum say that only Catholics get to Heaven. I know that there is no salvation outside the Church Christ established on Earth. I don't argue with that but here's the thing: If a person does all that a Catholic is supposed to do, well, then that person is Catholic in my book. Yes, I want Trump and all those outside the Church to join the Church... If the dang pope (sorry about that choice o'words but..) would stop teaching falsehood... maybe more people would (smart people would) join the Church?

sigh

Anyway, I can't think of ONE decision Trump has made that is wrong from a Christian (Catholic) perspective.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck

maybe it is more duck than...  those ducks sitting in the pews (who vote for pro-abortion idiots all the time)

Do you know anything about Trump's moral and personal life?

What does correct (in your view) public policy have to do with the salvation of one's soul?

You may wish to study the faith ... there's a little dogma that there's no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

He could have a Saul of Tarsus moment and convert. But at 70 years old with 3 divorces and hawkish interventionist policies that will further the destruction of both Levantine and European Christendom, I doubt it.

how arrogant and smug
I have studied dogma and I believe there is no salvaation "outside the Church" (define: outside)
correct public policy is one that considers ALL citizens and their issues, concerns, needs, etc. Trump policy does that. And correct policy like that indicates a Christian perspective, SO unlike the liberal Democrats who couldn't care less about the least of our brethren, the unborn (not "least b/c they are less than us but least b/c so unloved and unwanted..)
that's about 100 words more than your post deserved

get outa here!
I gave up my most egregious sins many moons ago, and have NOT looked back... have not backslided b/c I learned the truth of how wrong some of my sins really were. In fact maybe the most terrible of all sinners know better than those who have never sinned in a big way... just how awful sin is.
You are judging Trump -- meaning: judging in a way JEsus does not approve of. Yes, we "will know them by their fruits" but give me a freaking break. He did that stuff YEARS ago.
