    • THE RESULTS ARE IN! (unless there are still people voting, I don't know fully, I am basing it off the recent posts section.)

    Thank you to everyone who participated in the Sedevacantist Poll! I never saw anyone on CathInfo do polls as long as I have been on here and I thought it would be fun to do something new. So anyways, here are the results:

    Why are you a Sedevacantist:

    I am not a Sedevacantist -- 67%

    Because I believe the See has been vacant since 1958 -- 7%

    Because I believe the post-Vatican II Mass is invalid -- 7%

    Because I believe the See has been vacant since 1963 -- 0%

    Because I believe the Second Vatican Council was evil --0%

    All of the above -- 20%

    I believe Pope Benedict XVI is the true pope -- 0%

    I crunched all these numbers and here are the main results that I added up from those polls. For those of you who did not vote at all, That is fine. This poll was mainly for fun and does not fully represent CathInfo since every user did not vote. But, here are the results I gathered.

    For CathInfo:

    67% of the forum is not sedevacantist
    34% of the forum is sedevacantist

    These are some interesting results. If you disagree or did not vote, that is fine. In all honestly, I am glad to be part of such a free speaking traditionalist catholic forum. God bless.

    • How can one be a sedevacantist if they believe Pope Benedict XVI is the true pope?

    I never implied that. This is why I put the option separate from the sedevacantist options. I put it right in between the all of the above option and the I am not a sedevacantist option for a reason. There are a small group of traditionalist catholics who are not sedevacantists out there who simply do not find Pope Francis to be the pope and that Pope Benedict XVI is the true pope. This group comes more from political disagreements with Pope Francis rather than religious disagreements. The most popular group who promotes this belief is the Northern League otherwise known as Lega Nord which is a political party in Italy. Because of Pope Francis's stance on refugees and illegal immigrants, the Northern League declared that Pope Francis is not the true pope and that Pope Benedict XVI is the true pope. There are traditionalists like that out there who believe this. The Northern League also wears t-shirts that say "Benedict is my pope".

    • The results have updated since I last checked.

    62% of people on CathInfo are not sedevacantist while 37% are as the poll implies now.

    If it changes at all I will update this page more.

    Well I did not mean to imply anything like that. If you look back on the poll, you'll see what I mean. That is why it is not part of any of the options above the all of the above option. It is below all of the above for a reason.
