  • Just one word:  Ecuмenism.

I'm confused about how a person can be described as a "decent Catholic" and a "naturalist given to human respect".  It would seem that the two descriptions are incompatible.
The evidence of a conversion is indeed scarce. We cannot peer into someone's heart, but can assess the public evidence. It suggests rather warm afterlife. Also politicians and other public people will give an impression of hating each other to the plebs, but the public political class has more in common with each other than ordinary citizens.

He raised 9 kids, including a priest, and drove them all an hour out of their way to attend the TLM rather than the NO. And his son, the priest, said he complained often about innovations in the Church.

But he couldn't possibly have been a decent Catholic because he was friendly with his colleagues? If he was "a naturalist given to human respect", we'd have seen it in his rulings - but we did not, he was consistently the most conservative and voted against abortion, gαy marriage, and other liberal causes time and time again. However good his relations were with his liberal colleagues, he never abandoned his principles to appease them, even though others on the conservative wing often did.

Hard to say, and we don't really know much about this, but honestly, would you invite hell-hound Ginsberg to one of your barbecues? I sure as <Ginsberg's current home> wouldn't.

  • Like Hitler, Mussolini, Bin Laden, etc. it is good that she is gone. Who appointed her to Supreme Court?  A rapist pervert president who made many trips to pedophile island.

HANNITY: I guess where I am on this, if you look at Ruth Bader Ginsburg, I mean, she — the Ginsburg rule, she doesn’t have to answer specific questions, clearly pro-choice going in, thinks there may even be a constitutional right to polygamy, has a controversial view we should lower the age of consent to 12, supports legalized prostitution, very left-wing.

GRAHAM: Well, there are all kind of hearts. There are bleeding hearts and there are hard hearts. And if I wanted to judge Justice Ginsburg on her heart, I might take a hard-hearted view of her and say she’s a bleeding heart. She represents the ACLU. She wants the age of consent to be 12. She believes there’s a constitutional right to prostitution. What kind of heart is that?

California makes it legal for adults to have sex with minors....
May God bless you and keep you

  • If I was a public figure and someone said to me that Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died, I would reply, yes, she is dead.

If they asked, well, what do you think of her death? I'd say, she is dead.

  • Best ram someone (good) through ASAP before election post haste!!!

Indeed, but who fits that description?

VDARE has a pretty good piece briefly assessing the likely candidates. Barrett's curious notion that her Catholicism (conciliar variety) would so color her judgment in certain cases that she would recuse herself is so Americanist that it might excite the admiration of John Courtney Murray were he still alive. Before the Jews began having success turning US society and jurisprudence inside out during the FDR era, literally almost everyone in government accepted the reality of the Christian foundation of law. If Barrett lacks the conviction or the courage to acknowledge and defend Christ's claims on Americans and on their law, what good is she to us or to our unenlightened neighbors?

If you make your words even bigger and bolder, I'm sure they'll look even more impressive. Whether you'll ever see that Nadir was writing with timely satire, however, is a far less certain matter.

It's a joke on the fact that most "COVID deaths" are completely unrelated to it with COVID just tagged on as a contributing cause.

  • Some people believe that she's been dead for a while, but they now released this in order to energize the base from the left, knowing they can count on a handful of Republicans to not allow the justice position to be filled.

Or, "What does this mean that she has died?"  answer:  "She's no longer alive."

Yes, I'm thinking the same thing. They might have kept RBG on ice like  bin Laden and exposed her death at the most expedient time for the libs- another uproarious confirmation process x 100.  The dems will say and do ANYTHING to this woman and her family to see if it sticks. I'd be surprised if under the current societal and political atmosphere that Mrs Barrett  declines the offer for the sake of her children. It would be like accepting a trip to hell. She would truly be saintly if she accepted.
