    Russian energy major Rosneft has announced the discovery of a huge oil deposit in the Pechora Sea containing an estimated 82 million tons of oil.
    The field was discovered thanks to a drilling campaign in the Medynsko-Varandeysky area. “During the tests, a free flow of oil was obtained with a maximum flow rate of 220 cubic meters a day,” the company’s statement read on Wednesday, noting that the “oil is light, low-sulfur, low viscosity.”
    Rosneft noted that the exploration works in the waters of the Pechora Sea proved the “significant oil potential of the Timan-Pechora province on the shelf and became the basis for continuing the study and development of the region.”
    The company reportedly controls a total of 28 offshore licenses in the Arctic, eight of them in the Pechora Sea.

    Not if Brandon has anything to do with it.  I recall an interview with a big oil execute who admitted that oil is abiotic and keeps getting replenished by the earth.

    Could you explain this? I've heard this idea before but I've never actually heard it explained in detail. So if petroleum isn't produced by decaying organic matter, then what is it made of and how does it come to have so much potential energy in it, and how is it produced by the earth? And wouldn't its chemical makeup tells us where it came from?

    • Fossil fuel and “peak” oil is another Jєω myth that keeps the shekels flowing ( to them) The Russians acknowledged the truth about abiotic oil for decades.

    Among other things, I don't buy the garbage about how oil has been made of organic matter over "millions of years".  I believe a lot of that is more nonsense that was used to buttress evolutionary thinking.
