I just don't see it happening, the powers that be put too much into the Obamination to let him fail a second time around and let's face it, the dumbed-down American populace still believe this guy is the second-coming and will pull the lever for this con-artist no matter how bad the state of the economy is in.
They also are sick and tired of hearing about being dragged into another Middle-East war against another one of Israel's enemies and this "war on terror" crap.
The middle/working class is also tired of the disparity between them and the upper one percent, they're done hearing about making "concessions" for business and slick-haired billionaires like Romney and his corporate buddies.
I think Obama wins either by a narrow margin or in a landslide.
Romney is done.

Why Is Romney Losing?
Posted by Lew Rockwell on September 28, 2012 08:22 AM
With the economy tanking, Obama should be tanking, too, but he is winning. Why is that? Romney is a stand-in for the power elite, but so is Obama. Both are Keynesians; both are corporatists; both are torturers and police statists. We can go down the whole, horrific list. Here is the one difference, however, perceived or real: on the margin, Obama seems like less of a warmonger. Of course, the Drone-in-Chief is a warmonger, too, but Romney seems the more bloodthirsty chickenhawk, and even the belligerent American people are not anxious for yet another war of aggression in the Middle East, this time against the ancient civilization of Persia. But here is what I think put the kibosh on Romney's chances: he is the candidate of Netanyahu. That helps with the crazed and bloodthirsty neocons and Christian right, but not with regular people, who are the vast majority. Most Americans, when they saw Mitt's surrogate and his Acme cartoon bomb at the UN, were repelled. And that, finally, is why Obama will probably win.
UPDATE Chris Stone notes that at Intrade, Romney is falling like a rock.
UPDATE from Dom Armentano:
Lew, you are absolutely correct on your explanation for Romney's plunge. I've been telling everyone who will listen (not many these days) that independents have shifted away from Romney at the margin precisely because of his war rhetoric. After all, nothing else has really changed since the conventions. But clearly independents (and some Republicans) have decided, correctly perhaps, that Iran war chances increase with Mitt. My back-of-seat judgment: Ron would be up 5 points on the socialist/fascist in the WH if he somehow had been nominated.
-
With Romney we get free trade, a war with Iran, and a bad economy anyway.
With Obama we get government programs, a possible war with Iran, and a bad economy anyway.
-
And under Obama I would assume we get more abortion and 'gαy marriage' as well.
-
With Obama, we seem to get someone who isn't so eager to say "How Hi?" when the Israeli's say "Jump"! I think Obama has been giving Bibi fits since he's been in the WH.........and at least that is enjoyable.
Romney is a total Jew-stooge who will do his masters bidding at the drop of a hat.
Romney assures Israel we will totally support them on the Iranian issue.
Obama calls their bluff;
Has Obama Called Bibi's Bluff?
by Patrick J. Buchanan
With all his warnings of Iran's "nuclear capability," of red lines being crossed, of "breakout," of the international community failing in its duty, of an "existential threat" to Israel, what is the prime minister's game?
The answer is apparent. Bibi wants Iran's nuclear program shut down, all enrichment ended, all enriched uranium removed and guarantees that Iran will never again start up a nuclear program.
And if Tehran refuses to surrender its right even to a peaceful nuclear program, he wants its nuclear facilities, especially the enrichment facility at Fordow, deep inside a mountain, obliterated.
And he wants us to do it.
How has Bibi gone about getting America to fight Israel's war?
He is warning, indeed threatening, that if we do not set a date certain for Iran to end enrichment of uranium, and assure Israel that we will attack Iran if it rejects our ultimatum, Israel will bomb Iran and start the war itself.
Fail to give us assurances that you will attack Iran if Iran refuses to surrender its nuclear "capability," Bibi is warning, and we will attack Iran, with all the consequences that will have for you, for us and for the Middle East.
This is diplomatic extortion.
Thus far, Obama has called Bibi's bluff, assuming it is a bluff.
The United States has refused to set a date certain by which Iran must end all enrichment. Hillary Clinton said this weekend that we are "not setting deadlines." And the election, which could give Obama a free hand to pursue his own timetable and terms for a deal with Tehran, is only eight weeks off.
If Obama, no fan of Bibi, wins, he can tell Bibi: We oppose any Israeli pre-emptive strike. If you attack Iran, we will not support you. Nor will we follow up an Israeli attack with an American attack.
Bibi's dilemma: Despite his threats of Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran is taunting him. His Cabinet is divided. The Shas Party in his coalition opposes a war, as do respected retired generals, former Mossad leaders and President Shimon Peres.
And the Americans have sent emissaries, including Secretary Leon Panetta, to tell Bibi we oppose an Israeli attack. The Pentagon does not want war. Three former U.S. Central Command heads oppose a war. And last week, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Martin Dempsey said he does not wish to be "complicit" in any Israeli attack.
Implied in the word "complicit" is that Dempsey believes an Israeli first strike on Iran could be an act of aggression.
The Israelis were furious, but suddenly the war talk subsided.
From the clashes, public and private, between these two close allies, it is apparent the United States shares neither Israel's assessment of the threat nor Israel's sense of urgency.
Why not? Why, when Netanyahu says Israel is facing an "existential threat," do the Americans dismiss it?
The first reason is the elephant in the room no one mentions: Israel's own nuclear arsenal. If Fordow is a difficult target for Israel to destroy with conventional air strikes, it could be annihilated with a single atom bomb.
And Israel has hundreds.
Indeed, if Israel has ruled out use of an atomic weapon, even when it says its very existence is threatened, and neoconservatives claim that Iran's mullahs are such death-wishing fanatics they cannot be deterred even by nuclear weapons, what is Israel's awesome atomic arsenal for?
What this suggests is that the Israelis do not believe what they are saying. Their nuclear deterrent is highly credible to all their neighbors. Their existence is not in imminent peril. And the mullahs are not madmen.
When Ronald Reagan was about to take the oath, suddenly those mullahs, assessing that the new American president might be a man of action, not just words, had all the U.S. hostages winging their way home.
When the USS Vincennes mistakenly shot down an Iranian airliner in 1988, the Ayatollah Khomeini, founding father of the Islamic Republic, ended his war with Iraq on unfavorable terms, fearing America was about to intervene on the side of Saddam Hussein.
Like all rulers, good and evil, Iran's leaders want to preserve what they have – families, homes, lives, privileges, possessions, power. When ѕυιcιdє missions are ordered, you do not read of ayatollahs or of Iranian politicians driving the truck or wearing the vest.
Moreover, the latest report of the international inspectors reveals that while Iran increased its supply of uranium enriched to 20 percent since last spring, an even larger share of that 20-percent uranium has been diverted to make fuel plates for Iran's U.S.-provided research reactor to make medical isotopes.
If there is no reason to go to war with Iran, there is every reason not to go to war. Notwithstanding the alarmist rhetoric of Bibi and Ehud Barak, President Obama should stand his ground. And on this one, Gov. Romney should stand with the president, not the prime minister.

And under Obama I would assume we get more abortion and 'gαy marriage' as well.
Do you really think we'll get any less under Romney?
The guy is all about pro-big business and making a buck, these people are placating homos more than anyone these days. Look at his track record on fαɢɢօtry,do you really believe that he will all of the sudden go on an anti-queer crusade?
Catholics and anti-queer sentmentalist need to wake up, this guy isn't going to stop anything about the homo agenda, it will be staus quo, just like abortion.
Mitt Romney is not a Catholic or even a Christian for that matter and he's no conservative.
-
Yes I agree with that analysis. Good article by the way, I remember reading that a while back.
-
Buchanan's always had some good stuff, he's about as close to a real "conservative" in a writer as you can get these days. He also comes real close to naming the Judaics as the major part of our problems but never crosses the line, he knows ultimately where his paychecks come form.

He gets pretty close with these lines:
"During World War II Jєωιѕн-Americans clamored to smash Hitler's regime."
"Charles Lindbergh said that Jews in Hollywood and the press tried to get America into World War II."
"After World War II Jєωιѕн domination of our foreign policy became an obsession with American leaders."
"I have to question whether diesel engine fuel can kill people?"
"If you want to know ethnicity and power in the United States Senate, 13 members of the Senate are Jєωιѕн folks who are from 2 percent of the population. That is where real power is at….”
"Perhaps this endless search for nαzι war criminals, these endless re-enactments, on stage and screen, of Hitler’s cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρs are good for the soul. To what end, however, all this wallowing in the atrocities of a dead regime when there is scarcely a peep of protest over the prison camps, the labor camps, the cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρs operating now in China and Siberia, in Cuba and Vietnam."
"Those of us in childhood during the war years were introduced to Hitler only as a caricature…Though Hitler was indeed racist and anti-Semitic to the core, a man who without compunction could commit murder and genocide, he was also an individual of great courage, a soldier’s soldier in the Great War, a leader steeped in the history of Europe, who possessed oratorical powers that could awe even those who despised him. But Hitler’s success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood in his path."

Anyway it seems to yet again be another election where one cannot vote.
-
Sheriff Arpaio, I do believe, proved that Obama's birth certificate is a phony. Therefore Obama is an illegal. Therefore he should be sent back where? Or sent to jail in Tent City wearing pink boxer shorts.

Romney probably knew he was done before he started. It's all a set up. Let's pay attention to what they do but concentrate on the resurrection of the Church because it is hence that they will all be handed their defeat.
Like Bush I in 1992, he was set to run, but not intended to win at all......he was so lax in his run, it was obvious.......more farce of False Candidate I, False Candidiate II.....the most, will raise Boy Wonder/ElRoy's stake in future (aka Paul Ryan)

A Pew research report yesterday
indicates that 51% to 61% of so-called 'catholics' will
continue to support Satan's party. That should not be a
surprise having watched the 'Give us Barrabas - away with
the Christ' vote in NC recently. It would indicate the horrific
'state of affairs' in all the churches in our day. I am more
certain now than ever before that were Moses to descend
the mountain into the world today - the scene which greeted
him at the foot of Mt Sinai would be precisely the same.
While we may not expect the same 'corrective action' taken
by the Almighty on that occasion, perhaps if we were to
'ask for something' it would begin with a prayer that 'those
people' who are obviously 'possessed' would have a 'change
of heart and mind and soul'. We might also 'ask' that more
than a 'sufficient number' might be struck blind, deaf, mute
and paralyzed for 40 days.
Regarding people "possessed," what we need is an exorcism! And that's
what the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary is all about. Our Lady is the destroyer of all heresies.
And as for the so-called Catholic supporters of "satan's party," it seems
to me that a temporary blindness, deafness, dumbness and paralysis
would not stop most of them from casting their vote on election day!!
They would receive the greatest sympathy from their liberal friends and
assistance to vote as handicapped persons. (If they can get DEAD
people to vote, why not these???!!!)
After the debate last night, where Romney showed himself to be a most
able opponent to Obamanation, I was actually surprised to hear callers
on radio talk shows saying that they were happy to see B.O. "win." For
some, the most obvious things are not observable.
A final, chilling thought, just as in the day of Moses, when the Israelites
who had been freed from the bondage of Egypt were wont to return to
the pagan worship of idols, so to, there are some today who would be
wont to return to their state of possession after exorcism! "And coming
he findeth [the house] empty, swept and garnished. Then he goeth, and
taketh with him 7 other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter
in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is made worse than than
the first. So it shall be also to this wicked generation" (Matt. xii. 44-45 DRV).

equal number stated Romney "won", usually, boilsdown to whose your guy=who won....
for me, no one is winning in this.....

Of course Romney won the debate last night, he's smarter and more astute than ol jug ears, but it doesn't mean nothing. He will lose the election, it's in the stars.
I don't think people really get it, but I will say it again, you have no say who they really want to put in the WH, you're vote (popular) means nil, you don't live in a "democracy" and you have no control or idea who really does.
Maybe I'm a bit nihilistic, but I lack total faith in the system, it's all a ruse so you have the appearence of deciding the outcome on a national level, but I believe they rigged that game a long time ago, no way were they giving us lesser human animals a chance to thwart their agendas at the top, we really live in a parallel universe where the needs of a few outweigh the needs of the many, we're nothing but the flip side of the same communist coin.
Those crazy. hipster-doofus Occupiers were onto something last year they just got it wrong that it's only the corporate "one percent" pulling the strings, they're close, but it's deeper than that. this is more than just about money, the Obama handlers are looking to rip the soul out of America, when they say "change" they mean a total overhaul of the social and cultural construct.
Romney can slam Obongo in every debate and still come out like Charlie Brown, that lovable loser.
-
Ann Romney once states that Mitt can argue both sides and even she was not sure what he beleived...likely, that comes from his work and also, mormonism, which takes a lot of back/forth views.
Not sure if smarter then obummer or not, obummer has charisma, but largely is a talking piece...Mittster and his boy Elroy sounds like the same old tired, tried GOP slogans and talking points..
True, elites have already decided.......try to get most people to see that and esp, onces that should know better and have had access to truth tellers, yet stil lget worked up....

There was a bomb in Denver yesterday. It was Obama's debate peformance. :laugh1:
In all seriousness, alaric is right that the elections are rigged. Romney would be better than Obama, no doubt. But I'd be surprised if Romney won.

Even after a disastrous debate last night for Obama, this clown was still leading in the Ohio polls by eight percent. Historically, you don't win Ohio, you don't win the election.
The Mormon guy is on borrowed time.

How are Democrats "Satan's Party" anymore than the warmongering right, the GOP that nominated the Freemason Romney whose religion states good Mormons will become exalted and *become Gods* (sound familiar?), and who until 5 minutes before he was running for the GOP nomination was pro-abortion.
It's so odd to me, the longer I have been a Catholic now, that Catholics, esp Trads, can get so twisted up in Americanism that they invest emotionally (and even spiritually) in a Godless, Freemasonic, democratic system (democracy is inherently an inversion of God's natural order, anti-hierarchy, anti-authority, exalting man, why Freemasons have always promoted it so).
What good would come of globalist, luciferian/exaltationist, pseudo-prolife Romney? The prolife gag by Republicans is just a red herring, the matter (as far as governing anyway) is not in the hands of a president, but an unelected court.
The only serious contender for the presidency who was also prolife was shutdown before he got any chance and when he persisted, they robbed him of every delegate he had.
Who cares who wins? No man will change any of this, only Our Lady. No vote will stop the murdering of millions of babies, only the petitioning of Heaven with prayers.
Votes are a Freemason's replacement for prayer.
-
Well put, living in an area heavily influenced by evangelicals, its amazing-seperate from their zionism-how they "trust in Jesus", then slavishly vote GOP over and over again, making excuses often, which tells me they knowsomething is not right going on, but still go GOP/ Most family/friends in this category are lining up for mormon cultic Romney, now....
Catholics, including those in "conservative" and "trad" circles do the same, influenced by them and by the cultre that does lend to Americanism (Recall, I had a long thread on this my first go around). At heart, the Catholic in influenced by the "american way of life" and protestants around them. Many are converts that, unlike yourself, do no see nad study, but are romanized protestants, never really leaving their old life in some degrees. Couple that w/talk radio, Fox News, etc and most Catholics are not better then Prots and hence, have little influence in society.
Add in the near obsession with forming interfaith groups to fight this or that, you get indifference.
Remember, one Catholic can make a difference and the Prots need us, we do NOT need them at all, in any group to do anything-comes down to supernatural grace and who is in the ark or not.
Both parties have bene captured and controlled by the Elites, call it NWO or whatever. Leon Skousans Naked Communist book is actually spot on on this, though he has one or both parties captured by "communists". Skousan, a mormon, still had some research and good common sense here and there..
So, most Catholics in the end-out of fear, lesser evils, ignorance, etc go to vote Dem or GOP.
I know a lady, early 40's, that actually in surprise told me one day "I never thought someone could be aq democrat AND a christian"...she is a well meaning southern Baptist.....never in 40 yrs she thought that you could be registated as both and even, run as both....she is one that has GOP=Gods Own Party.....
SS, cannot see, in any category, how "Romney would be better", neither man will ensure survival and blessings-ie, tackle abortion, homos,etc...

The lamentable outcome of modern politics is that Democrats and socialists have co-opted the notion of charity, via welfare; while the "right wing" are corporate shills. Since the right-wing is also associated with "God," in the minds of the New York / Los Angeles crowd, Christians are associated with greed and lack of charity. That is the real secret poison of our political system. It is spiritually and mentally destructive, because by implementing a false conservatism, people's notion of God and His justice has become all screwed up.
When you see Catholics who excuse the most predatory excesses of the rich, while blaming everything on the poor, you have a huge problem. And these people will turn others off from becoming Catholic. I know that before I converted, when I associated God with ignorant Protestants and ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ priests, I had no interest in God. And when I came into the Church, and was confronted with fans of George Bush, it was disconcerting, to say the least.
That is all very deliberate, this guilt by association. The devil does not want God to be associated with inspiring and holy figures, but with religious hypocrites, goons, heretics, liars, the greedy, pedophiles, etc. This gives people, or so they think, an excuse not to believe.
-
I was talking to a friend last night, a man in his 80's, who agrees that both parties are corrupt, but when you scratch the surface, you hear all the Rush / Hannity talking points.
I may vote for Romney however, if only because putting this figurehead in office MAY stop Obamacare. Hence, fewer subsidized abortions. That may outweigh the destructive effects of his Reagonomics, which are being carried out by Obama anyway.
As I tried to explain to my friend, who complained about the "welfare state," economic liberalism is CREATING the welfare state. The two parties work together. Total economic liberalism and outsourcing destroy employment. You don't have to be a math genius to figure out that if a company hires 100,000 Chinese, that is 100,000 less Americans who are employed, and that those 100,000 Americans will then consume less, leading stores and restaurants to close down and stop hiring. Likewise, you don't have to be a math genius to figure out that if Chinese goods are cheaper, then American goods will not be competitive, leading to more job loss, which they now call deindustrialization.
This poverty, which is created by extremist economic liberals, then leads to more people being enslaved to the government for handouts i.e. the welfare state.
But no, these neo-cons just want to gripe about welfare. They have no problem with corporate welfare, with corrupt banks and giant corporations being bailed out. I guess the 40% or so of youth who are unemployed in Spain are all just lazy; too many siestas or something. The huge and growing unemployment around the world, it's because of lazy people... This is the 50's Cold War attitude which is so out of touch it's beyond belief that anyone still thinks like this.
-
Let's hope that there is a Thermidor type reaction if Romney is elected.

Hasn't that has been the Communist/Socialist objective all along? Instead of having people who are self reliant and hard working, force everyone to become dependent onthe state to provides all the basic essentials of life from cradle to grave. Couple this with the breakdown of the family (thanks to feminism sponsored by the leftists aka Commies) and the undermining of the Church the state naturally replaces the father and God. This is exactly what happened in the USSR.
