What scenarios will play out if Romney wins the election in terms of Obamacare? What do you think he will do once he takes office?

How would he obliterate the bureaucracy of obamacare?

The healthcare reform began in 1989 that I saw wit school based and linked clinics. So the healthcare reform takes no act of legislature. It was done without our knowledge. What is paying for the school based and linked clinics are businesses and charities, and hospitals and tobacco tax, over rides and such. That is why I say, not to give any money to Catholic Charities. I know that this is just a small part of the reform, but there is also in place community clinics. School buses will transport students. The schools have access to contraceptives to abortion and immunizations and dental. Maybe you have seen the news on 6 year olds getting root canals and unnecessary dental work. The student comes home in pain and the parents are angry! But they signed the paperwork. You may have seen over the past 15 years new clinics being built and filled. This is the healthcare reform. We have a new hospital/clinic going in place near our area and will be up and going in by 2014. Someone asked me, "why there of all places?" Because there is a new High school here and another new school over there. All schools must be linked to an emergency/hospital. I hate to say this, but we have no voice or vote in this matter. I have watched the federal grants and state bills. Our state had a bill in 2000 passed stating that the state funds for medical assistance would end by 2012. It is all a part of the reform. So, that is the way it is. All hospitals with be answering to the same drummer. Those who are staff in hospitals, just know that if you think the grass in greener in another facility, that is wrong thinking.

Romney doesn't need to be president for something to be done. Even if the evil-in-chief gets re-elected, if the House and Senate go GOP they can try to repeal the law. They would have enough votes to override a presidential veto.

I mentioned this in the other thread but someone said that would never happen.

Unlike your average "faux" news watcher, every normal working class person that I have spoken to is thrilled that this law passed the supreme court. I do not get where "most" Americans are angry at this. I have honestly not seen that reaction from real people at all. Eastern North Carolina is elated at this development.

I am not saying that I am for the law, but it was bound to happen eventually.

America may as well start bracing for it now: Obama will 'steel, cheat, lie, and other wise use every evil power at his disposal for another four years and then some and he will most likely succeed. He and his minions have thrown so much craziness so fast at America, the oppositions heads are spinning and what audacity comes down the pike next will be unbelievably stunning and that is what will happen on November 6. Well, on my end, everyone of us who are self-employed (in the construction industry) are vehemently incensed at this stupid hypocrisy on the part of the Justices of the Supreme Court.

My initial reaction was: "Why am I not surprised!?"

The word "tax" does not occur in the many pages of the Obamination's socialist programme, so if the Federal government can do something like this, then that just sets the stage for Congress (which supposedly represents the "people") to be useless when it comes to the checks and balances system. Soon, we will be required to pay and pay and pay, and yet not have it labelled as a "tax" before Congress (so that the politicians can bamboozle their dazed constituents), only to have the Supreme Court supinely and meretriciously cater to the populist party line.

Sorry, but I'm a tax-paying citizen of the United States, not the Soviet States.

Wasn't this country founded because the colonists were pissed off at the stamp taxes of King George? Why is big government getting the free pass that King George did not?

This is all the more reason why individual States should consider seceding from the Union, which is becoming more and more the socialistic paradise for pinkos and liberals.

I thought I would add the following on this post.
It is from a writing of Bishop Sheen which seems appropriate for today’s events
(SCOTUS verdict on Obama care). I like reading Archbp. Sheen; he is indeed a saint needed for our times.

From “The Thing We Are Fighting Against”

“These demonic forces replaced the spiritual anarchy of bourgeois civilization with a semblance of order; they found substitutes for the doubt, the scepticism, and the sophistication of an irresponsible intelligentsia, in the certitude of an absolute authority embodied in a social philosophy. They proved that any worldview is better than no world view; and that a regime that possesses some authority is better than a system of no authority. There will be no Intervention.

Do we know for certain his deathbed confession regarding his full-fledged acceptance of the NO was in perfect contrition and valid? I hope for the sake of his soul it was!

Raoul76 posted a youtube video with Bishop Sheen speaking in the kind of terms of reverence and endearance that are normally reserved for Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother...

...but Bishop Sheen was using these terms while speaking of Pope John XXIII and his "opening of the church to the world"... During a scripted television show so he wrote the words out and pondered them ahead of time.

Sadly, he did say it. And Bishop Sheen was in such a position of influence and such a man of erudition and intelligence that he can't claim "ignorance" or just plain old stupidity. He was exuberant for the new church and for some reason that I can't figure out he really didn't see through the novus ordo nonsense.

We can't fight evil when the novus ordo has given evil the thumb's up. Not with the new saints of the new church. That's too much of a contradiction.

The novus ordo was fully in favor of this new Obamacare and they included it in their "hear our prayers" during the novus ordo worship service and the American bishops all got behind it - and I was thinking to myself, "Guys, the government that legalizes abortion will fund it when they get control of the health care system!" So now the bishops are all shaking their heads and saying "duh" as if anyone with the slightest amount of wherewithal and just plain ol' understanding of how politics in America works would know in ten seconds that government control of health care means our tax dollars will soon fund abortion. (Our tax dollars are already funding abortion and it happened regularly under George W. Bush we can't just think electing a republican will change things.)

So, in short, the novus ordo bishops betrayed basic Catholic theology and us by supporting this bill. But they aren't novus ordo bishops for nothing, are they?

Our only action is the same action we are already taking. We must simply stay true to the Traditions of the Catholic Church, raise our children in this same manner and just stay the course. The purpose of our lives is to gain Heaven, it's not to make this a more gracious world. Although, by working out our salvation with fear and trembling, we will increase the graciousness of this world by our example but that's a bonus feature and not the main objective.

For those who feel a need to do something, then by all means start writing letters to the bishop and to some Catholic lay organizations to start the campaign of working from within to get funding for abortion removed. Ok. Go ahead and do it. But don't forget that those who fund evil and those who choose evil (abortion is evil) are not particular about being honest so they will create dummy accounts that look on the up and up to outsiders but are actually a funnel in which abortion will be funded.
