  • "GOP prepares comeback: ‘We can’t come off as a bunch of angry white men’"

    "Minority 'engagement' a top priority"

"Republicans say if that means supporting a moderate candidate who can actually win... so be it."

"Don't believe women should have access to an abortion...?  Try not to talk about it."

"Support laws banning gαy couples...? Keep it in the closet."

"...when in doubt... talk about economic growth."

  • So, it appears that the republican strategy for the future is to dump white catholic and protestant men and focus on everyone else, while at the same time, dumping traditional morality and focusing on the economy.

I think I need a new party

  • According to Pat Buchanan's "ѕυιcιdє of a Super Power," the only demographics in America that are consistently voting republican are white catholic and protestant men.  Every other demographic consistently sides with democrats.  Yet, republicans can't wait to dump them    :sign-surrender:

  • What's their economic policy gonna be?  They can't talk about cutting government programs to reduce taxes, because the people they are going after generally pay less into those programs, than they take out.

As far as I can tell, they are becoming the party of not relevant to anyone.

  • Prior to civil rights and all that, democrats used to be the party of the ku klux klan.  No seriously, they were.  But, look at them now!

"“Fascists,” “Brownshirts,” “jackbooted stormtroopers”—such are the insults typically hurled at conservatives by their liberal opponents. Calling someone a fascist is the fastest way to shut them up, defining their views as beyond the political pale. But who are the real fascists in our midst?

Liberal Fascism offers a startling new perspective on the theories and practices that define fascist politics. Replacing conveniently manufactured myths with surprising and enlightening research, Jonah Goldberg reminds us that the original fascists were really on the left, and that liberals from Woodrow Wilson to FDR to Hillary Clinton have advocated policies and principles remarkably similar to those of Hitler's National Socialism and Mussolini's Fascism.

Contrary to what most people think, the nαzιs were ardent socialists (hence the term “National socialism”). They believed in free health care and guaranteed jobs. They confiscated inherited wealth and spent vast sums on public education. They purged the church from public policy, promoted a new form of pagan spirituality, and inserted the authority of the state into every nook and cranny of daily life. The nαzιs declared war on smoking, supported abortion, euthanasia, and gun control. They loathed the free market, provided generous pensions for the elderly, and maintained a strict racial quota system in their universities—where campus speech codes were all the rage. The nαzιs led the world in organic farming and alternative medicine. Hitler was a strict vegetarian, and Himmler was an animal rights activist.

Do these striking parallels mean that today’s liberals are genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order? Not at all. Yet it is hard to deny that modern progressivism and classical fascism shared the same intellectual roots. We often forget, for example, that Mussolini and Hitler had many admirers in the United States. W.E.B. Du Bois was inspired by Hitler's Germany, and Irving Berlin praised Mussolini in song. Many fascist tenets were espoused by American progressives like John Dewey and Woodrow Wilson, and FDR incorporated fascist policies in the New Deal.

Fascism was an international movement that appeared in different forms in different countries, depending on the vagaries of national culture and temperament. In Germany, fascism appeared as genocidal racist nationalism. In America, it took a “friendlier,” more liberal form. The modern heirs of this “friendly fascist” tradition include the New York Times, the Democratic Party, the Ivy League professoriate, and the liberals of Hollywood. The quintessential Liberal Fascist isn't an SS storm trooper; it is a female grade school teacher with an education degree from Brown or Swarthmore.

These assertions may sound strange to modern ears, but that is because we have forgotten what fascism is. In this angry, funny, smart, contentious book, Jonah Goldberg turns our preconceptions inside out and shows us the true meaning of Liberal Fascism."

  • There's got to be something wrong with Jonah Goldberg's book, "Liberal Fascism."  Fascism is supposed to be coming out of the right, as a reaction to communism.

  • I've seen lots of white men, who at least went to a catholic or protestant church when they were kids, vote democrat, because they generally support programs that they think will provide the basic necessities for average families.  On the other hand, they are outraged by the demographic changes they see occurring and poor morals and lack of modesty they see all around them.

Now, if Republicans would go after them, then I think they would win.

  • The Republican party, while not as bad as the Democratic party, is still part of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr and has been for years. The Republican nominees are almost always neo-cons.

McCain and Romney were both moderates and didn't win so I don't know why they think the solution is to keep finding people who are even more moderate.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

Well for one thing Jonah Goldberg is a Jєωιѕн neoconservative, since many neo-cons are Jєωιѕн, and he also came out of the Cold War liberal/Trotskyist/Social Democratic Left of the neoconservative movement before it migrated from the Left to the Right.

Well Bush sure didn't do much either. He got us in two wars in the Middle East that bankrupted this country, used immoral drone attacks against women and children, supported big spending projects like No Child Left Behind and the Medicare prescription drug plan, destroyed 2.5 million manufactoring jobs with his free trade policies, left the border wide open for illegal immigrants (and legal immigrants too), etc. etc. etc.

    Ah but remember:

"Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists."

"Successful societies recognize the rights of women."

"I'm really concerned about protectionism, isolationism, and nativism."

"I applaud the Supreme Court for recognizing that diversity is indeed America's strength."

    "Successful societies recognize religious tolerance."

The reason Obama won was because of demography i.e. minorities always vote liberal and the Republican support for more wars and free trade.

The goal of the Republican party has been for some time now to take the votes of white conservative voters while ensuring that they do not actually exert any serious political influence.  So pro-ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs like Chief Justice Robert are put on the Supreme Court with the approval of ignorant Novus Ordo Catholics, etc, the same kind of people who think the Benedict agrees with them more than he agrees with Obama.

  • The Republican party has a similar objective to the Novus Ordo church.

They both exist as holding pens for people who are not on board with ʝʊdɛօ-masonic revolution.  They never seriously oppose the Left, they exist rather to keep the Right under control and to ensure the victory the ʝʊdɛօ-masonic Antichrist revolution.

National Socialism was closer to fascism than actual socialism.

"True socialism respects private property. Marxian socialism does not." Adolf Hitler

"Marxism opposes the concepts of nation and race, rejects the aristocratic nature of the personality, and replaces that with the masses and their dead weight." Adolf Hitler

"The most frigthful example of Jєωιѕн domination is offered by Russia, where he killed millions in a brutal fashion to give a gang of Jєωιѕн journalists and stock exchange bandits domination over a great people." Adolf Hitler

Anyway you act as if saying smoking and alcohol is bad for you is a bad thing to do or caring for animals is a bad thing.

By the way I have noticed that no "conservatives" have done anything about our racial quotas that screen white males out of jobs, universities, etc.

Finally I find it amusing that Jonah Goldberg is talking about liberals such as Wilson, FDR, etc. since his ilk of neoconservatives were strong supporters of Wilson and FDR along with Trotsky before becoming Cold War liberals fascinated with imposing their ideology on mankind, just like the Soviets they were combating.

Wrong. 'Fascism' was the name given by anti-Fascists to all of the nationalist and anti-Communist/anti-Capitalist movements of the 1930's, even though they had little to do with the actual Fascist ideology created by Mussolini. Mussolini said as much on December 2, 1942. There, I just refuted the whole premise of his book.

More than that even. It has become popular with the Left to refer to any right-wing group or ideas as 'fascist' and has been that way since the 1930's.
