Oh, thanks for that. Yes, but I think things are a little different now. This morning, I heard on CNN that Russia is fining Lady Gaga and Madonna for work visa violations (CNN said it was really about Russia being "anti-gαy", but because the country is using "visa violations", I think they mean to stand by it and keep the propagandists OUT. We'll see how it works out. Here's an OLD ARTICLE on
HuffPo about it; pretty much every news service has a diffferent spin on the issue. CNN also has a new story about Russia going after another American band for using the Russian flag to wipe his butt while in Russia this past weekend, then saying "don't tell Putin."
LOL, I
hope Russia asks for an extradition (after the Snowden fiasco) :smoke-pot:
DELETED! It was an old story; sorry!
CNN was trying to make a joke of Russia and Russians (and anyone who didn't jump on the Sodomite highway to Hell) this morning, but Russia seems to definitely be declaring itself AGAINST bullies of "anti-Russia" forces. (Earlier this summer, it was "no Muslim propaganda", but this "no gαy propaganda" thing has hit the Western "news" sources where it hurts so it's got traction.)
I can't imagine Russia caving after these posturings. They must be getting lots of popular support either in-house, or from their neighbors. —Or maybe God has a hand in it. Why not? God's not much welcome in Rome anymore from what I could tell, and at least the
state (Russia) isn't scared to use God's Name when defending their positions.
I guess we'll find out one way or the other soon enough! I was surprised Putin gave Snowden asylum against
intense pressure from the U.S. Actually, I was surprised Putin stepped in to protect Syria from U.S. involvement. —Russia's just been surprising me left and right lately.
