  • Thanks Mater! This is an edifying video.

As the "christian west" plunges into the abyss, "Holy Mother Russia" prepares for her return to the bosom of the Holy Catholic Church.

  • Felicitas - a strong russian orthodox church does not prepare for her return to the bosom of the catholic church.  It prepares for the opposite, and that is to put the remains of the catholic church in her bosom.  What is edifying is the thought of taking back from the russian orthodox, like taking candy from a baby, what belongs to the catholic church.  And, hopefully taking them back in the process.  Like the beard, we will take that back, thank you.  Icons, we will take those back too, thank you very much.  Candles, you are coming with us.  Bakery, get on the bus.  Cute head covering for all seasons and times other than mass come out from where you are hiding.  Abstinence in lent compared to our extreme unhealthy fasting, what did you think we would forget?  Vernacular chant, stop resisting.  I can probably go on and on.  The main point is that there are too many beautiful things being enjoyed by the russian orthodox, at our expense.  They are schismatic, heretical, and immoral.  We should not be feeding them.  And, we do that by allowing uniate churches.  There should not be eastern catholicism.  It creates a western catholicism.  And, both of those will then be manipulated.  Christ called us a little flock, and that we are.

  • "Family, God and country", they said...
    Should be God, family, country.

Decriminalize domestic violence?  I don't think so...

    I quit watching after that...

I almost quit there too, but curiosity kept me going. I never know whether or not to believe things I see about Russia, but this one seemed pretty real even if he only covered two very unique situations.

Way to go fanny.  You picked up on some really important things.  They may have said Family, God and country.  But, they didn't mean three things.  God and country are not synonymous for us, but it is for them.  And, that is what they mean, holy mother russia.

  • The ignorance of Russia, from a Catholic perspective, is astounding... the western media has been extremely effective in it's propaganda against Christian Western culture, primarily by vilifying Russia to distract from it's own decadence. Russia, under the presidency of Putin, has been in large, sympathetic to the laws of Nature.

Catholicism doesn't have a prayer in the current conditions being embraced by the West.

    Remember, Grace builds on Nature!

  • I know Orthodox honor the Blessed Virgin, Theotokos, but do they acknowledge any of the apparitions approved by Rome?
I read somewhere that one of Putin's envoys tried to approach Pope Francis about consecrating Russia but was met with anger.

Granted, what I'm about to say is second hand, but, it was from a priest who had spoken to another preist... I don't remember which priest it was, but it was either Fr Gruner or Fr Kramer who had contacted Pres. Putin and sent him some book on Fatima. My understanding was that Pres. Putin had some serious illness and prayed to Our Lady of Fatima to be cured from his illness. Sometime after, he became well. I think soon after his recovery, he asked the Pope about the Consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart and was shunned for it. Unfortunately, that's all the details that I aquired.

Our lady of guadalupe is one that they are allowed to make an icon of.  And, when they can make an icon of an apparition, that is basically representing a full approval of an apparition.  Icon making is a canonical matter.  So, that would be perhaps the most important and more recent one I can think of.  As for other apparitions, I cannot answer, but I wouldn't be surprised if some orthodox have devotion to them.

I agree. Until I hear Catholics call gαys, sodomites, Catholicism is dead.
We have a lot to learn from the Russian Orthodox, if we are to resurrect our Catholic faith from the ashes of V2. We should be taking notes. Gospodi pomiluj, Lord have mercy.

No. They didn't say it. The presenter said it...
Domestic violence? isn't that when you smack your child for being naughty?
I think there's something to be said about the way these laws are applied.
