‘Menstrual equality’: Pro-LGBT college students demand tampons for men’s bathrooms

July 2, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – The year of our Lord 2019 has thus far been one in which Democratic presidential candidates promise abortions for transgender people without uteruses, socialism is back in vogue, and a full faction of the Democratic Party is peeling away from the American body politic and racing full-tilt leftward, where Drag Queen Storytime, free stuff, and gender confusion are all the rage.

But things can always get more insidiously ridiculous. Ridiculous, because no sane person at any other stage in Western civilization would have accepted this nonsense. Insidious, because the LGBT movement wants you jailed if you actually laugh. It is 2019 now, and even most so-called conservative political parties across the Western world are letting a handful of eunuchs and cross-dressers call the shots.

To give you yet another example of the absurdities that will continue to be forced on us so long as we collectively play along, woke activists at several American universities are demanding that menstrual products be placed in the men’s bathroom as well as the female bathroom, because they not only believe men can menstruate, but they will not be happy until the rest of us join them in their fantasy. And of course, as institutions of higher learning tasked with preparing the next generation to face the real world, some universities have already buckled.

University students, of course, can be consistently counted on to embrace brand-new stupidities with a fervor that would be genuinely amusing if it was not for the fact that these snowflake fascists may soon be in Congress. At Cornell University a few years ago, 78.6 percent of the 3,034 students who voted demanded that the university provide “all bathrooms on campus of both genders—yes, men’s too—with free menstrual products throughout the year.” The university administration, rather than taking the time to explain that the students were perhaps taking the “men” in menstruation a bit too literally, obediently agreed to give it a shot.

Syracuse University is in a similar boat, with the student government approving funding to get tampons and the like into men’s bathrooms, with volunteers restocking the supply each week. As a nod to fiscal responsibility, one hopes that they just stocked the men’s bathroom once and declined to replace the unused products four times a month. After all, it is the virtue-signalling that counts here, and surely mentioning casually during your queer studies seminar that you recently stocked the men’s bathroom with tampons gets you a lot of points in one shot.

It is amusing, in a sad, end-of-civilization sort of way, how seriously these folks take themselves. The campus spokeswoman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, for example, declared that school’s free-tampons-in-the-men’s-bathroom program a success because “no problems or concerns have been reported” with the tampon dispensaries installed in 2017. She did not seem to realize that if nobody is using the dispensaries, nobody can complain about them. But no mind—she proudly noted that this “is one way the university is working to make campus more welcoming to students across the spectrum of gender identity, gender expression, and sɛҳuąƖ orientation.”

Not all universities have succeeded in achieving this new level of rainbow wokeness. At the University of Arkansas, the student government passed the “Menstrual Equity for All Act,” which isn’t a joke. This faux legislation announced that the student government, in case anyone cared, “believes in equality for all individuals regardless of their sex or gender identity.” That mean that the injustice of tampon dispensaries in the women’s bathroom could no longer be borne because it “limits the ability of members of the transgender community to safely and easily access [tampons] on demand.” As such, they declared sanctimoniously, the derelict university “has a duty to create equal access to education, and therefore must prioritize the near-universal accessibility to Menstrual Hygiene Management at no cost to students forthwith.”
While one news outlet stated that the university was going to get with the new program, campus spokesman Steve Voorhies told The College Fix that this would not be happening: “There are no plans to put tampon dispensaries in the men’s room on campus. I understand it’s a funny idea, or maybe something to get people riled up, but there’s no truth to it.” I expect we will soon hear about his lynching or firing or a collective student temper tantrum at his characterization of the deadly serious problem of a lack of tampons in male bathrooms, even if it is a problem nobody has ever complained about.
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say this again: Most ordinary people still know that this is delusional. However, the LGBT movement has tremendous power, and they have handily conquered the media, the entertainment industry, and the full spectrum of left-wing political parties. If the conservatives are cowed by the men in dresses and the drag queens who want to play with children at the library as well, then the transgender activists will win this fight by default. It is time for men to take a stand, and preferably men who know what it means to be a man for a change.

One good thing; feminine hygiene products are expensive.  I shall inform my pre-menopausal female friends they can get free tampons in the men's restroom of their nearest university.

Probably only the universities in the article. Why?

Because they're very academically strong schools that attract academically strong high school seniors. From my own personal perspective, 98% of these types are hardcore liberals. It's quite sad. It's what drives these universities to become hardcore liberal, too. I'm all for hearing the other side, frankly, but they don't want to.

And men don't need to take a stand now, because it's already happening. They have a high murder rate, and as long as they defy the Lord God and His roles on gender, may it stay that way.
