Meinvielle, Concepción católica de la política (https://isidore.co/calibre/#panel=book_details&book_id=9807) p. 86 (PDF p. 91):
Herein lies the difference between a pontiff who is a saint and one who is not, even though he may be very virtuous. The saint is endowed with a supernatural prudence that discerns the malice of the enemy in seemingly innocent things. This is why St. Pius X was able to say to a French bishop who was determined to have L'Action Française condemned: “We have here, dear son, all that is necessary to condemn it. But we are sure that the people who have docuмented us so well have acted less out of love and zeal for holy religion than out of hatred of the doctrines held by L'Action Française.” Then, closing the desk drawer with a sharp blow, Pius X added: “Thus, as long as I live, never will A. F. be condemned. It does good. It defends the principle of authority. It defends order.”30 [Charles Maurras, Blessed Pius X: Saviour of France (Le bienheureux Pie X, sauveur de la France (https://isidore.co/calibre/#panel=book_details&book_id=9863)) (1953) p. 72]
The same can be said of Trump. He "defends the principle of authority" and "defends order".

Incredibly, it was Napoleon III who sent a French Force to enter Rome and protect Pope Pius IX thus restoring his temporal authority from Italian Republicans.
The unbelievable irony, is that Napoleonic France was the birthplace of all this atheistic revolutionary fervour... it was Napoleon I who imprisoned the Pope. Nobody would have guessed that turn of events. This was likely influenced thanks to a sizeable number of French Catholics due to the revival of the faith after the Revolution and downfall of Napoleon I such as those like St John Vianney (himself conscripted into Napoleon I armies, thankfully deserting or he would have been killed in the many Napoleonic wars) and St Catherine Laboure with the Miraculous Medal etc.

Wow... I had never heard of this exact source before. Thanks for sharing. Pope Pius X, pray for us!

I disagree. Supporting Sodomy and abortion goes against God’s natural order.

Yes, I never knew Charles Maurras, after his conversion, wrote a book about Pope St. Pius X. He was present at his canonization, under Pius XII, too. (Pius XII lifted the Action Française condemnation, too.)

I took VCR's comment this way: Did L'Action Française support Sodomy and abortion?

Does the Republican Party?

I find it remarkable how some hypocrites on this forum consider it a mortal sin to vote for Trump now, when they themselves voted for him in 2016 and when he then held the same or similar immoral positions as he does now.
I voted for him because he exposed the conspiracy and was a chance to correct our many problems, if I vote for him again it will be because I hope he takes the conspirators to task and he changes the direction of the downward spiral.
The principle of double effect certainly applies.

.
People don't have any right to say it is a mortal sin to vote for Trump. Only the Church can give us teachings on faith or morals. And it is not a mortal sin to vote for Trump. That is ridiculous.

Very true!

Absolutely agree! It was Trump who appointed the first married gαy man as the American Ambassador to Germany. Trump also implemented the plan to erase all anti-sodomy laws in all countries that still enforced them. Warp Speed Trump destroyed thousands of small businesses by shutting down the economy and only allowing large corporations and "essential" workers to work. He promoted the dangerous and evil mrna vaccines killing and injuring millions of people. He's the number one supporter of Israel and great friends with Prime minister Netanyahu, the same man slaughtering the Palestinians. Trump does not endorse the complete ban of killing babies under all circuмstances. On and on.

I voted for Trump in 2016, which I made plain at the time, purely for the novelty factor and for Supreme Court justices. I always knew he wasn't the maverick anti-establishment figure he was depicted as being, but was in the pockets of our traditional enemies.
I wasn't suckered in the slightest by him. I guess many of you have some egg on your faces.
Some here believed in the QAnon crap. 4D chess!

Exactly. I'm still waiting for them to provide Church teaching that supports their pontificating that anyone who votes for Trump is guilty of mortal sin.
I didn't vote for him in 2016 but did begrudgingly in 2020. I go back and forth this time, and my final decision will probably happen on November 5th.

There's no way you haven't seen the evidence till now, it's been posted ad nauseam here. If you truly haven't then you have no business talking about this.

I wish I'd seen this post before I wasted time posting evidence. This is such a good response, & I wish I'd thought to save myself the trouble, or seen this excellent post first.

What policies of his show he is pro-sodomy and pro-abortion?

But we are sure that the people who have docuмented us so well have acted less out of love and zeal for holy religion than out of hatred of the doctrines held by L'Action Française.”
This is a very good quote.
I don't know much at all about Charles Maurras but from what I read online it seemed he was a bit all over the place with some things I would very much disagree with and others I would agree with... nevertheless, there is a clear distinction between someone acting and speaking out of ignorance, naivety or weakness and someone speaking and acting out of malice or intent.
The Trump bashing I have seen on this forum and on the previous forum I was on, there is some irrational focus on Trump like they have to destroy him or something... do they not see they are hurting themselves? I really don't understand it. If you have a better alternative then let me know... otherwise they are just complaining and sabotaging themselves all the time... if I were an enemy of the Faith... I would view such people as a gift and I would use their divisions to maximum effect, ensuring they are constantly divided and bickering over every little thing so they could never unite against me regarding big ticket items.
If not Trump then who? Did they ever get Roe v Wade overturned over all these years? So finally we have someone pulling the nation back toward the right direction after losing for so long and because they don't have 'perfection immediately' they are miserable and want to destroy it?
If any one of these people were to run for office... lets take Taylor Marshall for example, for starters he didn't have the numbers to go the distance... but if he did, I could rip him to pieces so easily with all these arguments and many more, Taylor Marshall doesn't agree with me yet in regards to Pope Benedict XVI being deposed and Bergoglio being a usurper, therefore treat him as my enemy? When he has done so much good! That would be madness! I don't quite agree with Vigano's rationale, as I think it's off course slightly, same thing with the SSPX as the Vendee may have been right but they were not right to take matters into their own hands when it was given specifically to King Louis XIV, they didn't have the authority... but to constantly bash and condemn all these people who are 'resisting' the heresies and errors... why would I do that? They just need to be encouraged and guided in the right directions IMO.
Trump has flaws like every other human being... he will never be 100% right on every single issue... we will never all agree 100% on every single thing... your not voting for a Pope either.
We need to pray for Trump and yes he has done a good job in spite of so many obstacles.

If Taylor Marshall for example made it to the debate and I were a moderator, I would ask what he thinks of Bergoglio... then I would question his faith because of his opposition to Bergoglio, a 'Catholic' who fights against the 'Pope' like that... then I'd split the Protestants from him by throwing a couple of those provocative questions his way... no matter how he answers them I would win. Then I'd be able to divide and divide until he was easy to beat and then my side would simply win by default because Christians are all too divided to stand together in any kind of realistic opposition over big ticket items.
Then forget Protestantism... even if Catholics were large enough on their own... there is so much I could use to divide and conquer them if they became any kind of realistic threat... which is exactly why Pope Benedict XVI got deposed and we ended up with Bergoglio and it just keeps going and going because such people don't know they are being played and don't know how to get it together.
Like Putin once said... "Most people around the world share the traditional values and therefore they should team up to stand up for them"... such as the Nuclear Family... so why don't we work together in that regard first and then work on the next problem?

The country was going in the right direction it seemed. Maybe not. Maybe it was just a free Masonic head game.
And when Bergolio says choose the lesser of the two evils, that is huge red flag. Choosing the lesser of two evils is a huge satanic lie.
These people aren’t God.

No. We aren’t hypocrites. I remember being locked down. The lesser of the two evils is an huge lie that I was taught and Believed. Beware of false teachers I now learned. Only God can save us; not man.
We are focusing on truth in Jesus Christ.
In order to regain peace in our countries, we all have to repent for our sins. Jesus Christ is King of the Universe.
