The problem with voting for Obama is that he openly says he's against abortion. That makes it look as if you're openly voting for it. At least the Republicans pretend to be against abortion so you can say "If they never intended to stop it, at least I had the right intention."

It's not about who wins or "throwing your vote away," it's about YOUR intention before God. As for me, I don't believe in ʝʊdɛօ-Masonic democracy and I don't vote. America is a cesspool. I vote mentally for the restoration of the monarchies of Europe.

I agree with that latter sentence, 100%! I, too, think that the World would be a better place with the Catholic monarchies. Speaking strictly from a scientific point of view, our present Civilization is not sustainable. We are going to "drown" in our own greenhouse gas emissions, and the "free market," republican (small 'R') capitalism will guarantee that we sink toward the lowest common denominator, which is fossil fuels. They are the cheapest and most reliable form of energy, which is why we are guaranteed to continue to use them, because if we do not, someone else will, which means that we will get beat, badly, in the free market. It is the Tragedy of the Commons, which did not occur under feudalism.

If and until then, I, as a private citizen, am stuck with what I got. And, I do care about other issues, like my family's healthcare, which would suffer under Republican rule. As I said before, the Republican party is using the Religious Right, like a cheap...

Yes there is. The debate is whether or not it is just a natural trend or if man is the culprit.

Maybe. If you go up to a high bridge and jump off, you will hit the water, dirt, etc., 1 to 2 seconds later. Guarrenteed... If "you" (humanity) pump enough greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, you will raise global mean temperatures by some significant amount, melt ice, raise sea levels, and cause significant, perhaps catastrophic, climate change around the globe. Ironically, some will benefit, most, however, will not.

As I said before, I think that Catholic feudalism, in spite of its many (often unnecessary) cruelties, allowed mankind to live in harmony with his environment, unlike free market capitalism which is founded in the atheistic philosophy of the Enlightenment (deism being a pro-atheistic worldview prior to Darwin) which leads to the "God probably does not exist, so enjoy life" mentality that is beginning to appear on buses around the World. While it is possible to change the means of capitalistic consumerism (e.g., to save the ozone layer), it is virtually certain that it will not be possible to change the level of capitalistic consumerism, which will be necessary to save the World. Perhaps that will be God's punishment.

Ugh! I wish that I could edit my posts!! Deism was a proto-atheistic worldwide. Jefferson, Paine, etc., if they had been exposed to Darwin's ideas, would have likely been atheists/agnostics.
