  • in the USA propaganda, Petain is denounced, but have heard that Vichy did have some good, Catholic elements..anyone care to share a nd esp, any good Catholic sites talk about this.?

    seems Petain was against Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ,etc.

    Yes, Petain was serious in his opposition, but Laval was not.

    The United States recognized the Vichy government until the end of the war.

    It was simply the government of France.

    Unfortunately, after the war, there were large-scale murders of those who were hated by the Left.

  • True, odd the USA recognised Vichy until 1944 I think it was, then Degaulle was man of the hour......

    anyone have any video, audio or print that discuss Vichy/Petain from a trad Catholic view?
