... and an epidemic. Too many long-winded blowhards whose half-hour content boils down to 1 or 2 sentences.

Maybe that's why I am very picky about what "podcasts" or personalities I listen to. Also why I prefer text articles to everything being in video form.

Right now, there's only one commentator or "talking head" that I listen to -- and that's Dave Cullen. He's actually above-average intelligent, has a lot of actual insight, seems to have tons of great research and information to match, great at big picture/connecting the dots, good at predicting where things are going, is easy to listen to, doesn't push woo-woo (crazy) cօռspιʀαcιҽs, and keeps things simple and to-the-point.

I have a high bar when it comes to listening to some layman. He has to have something real to offer me.

There was an article in the New York Times about what it's like to stay in the Australian camp:

I've learned to skim through videos in similar fashion to skimming through articles.

When I read that, I said to myself, "They probably mean they shut down their radio programs." I was thinking of programs like the sat radio Truckers Channel* on Sirius XM and maybe some podcasts. Also, while they cannot shut down the ionosphere, they can certainly use jamming technology on the Aussie equivalent of CB and ham bands.

*I have tried to call the Truckers Channel, but never succeeded in getting on air. I wanted to say, "Here's  a tip for truckers. If you want to pass another truck, you actually have to go faster than the other truck." I can't count the number of times I have been on two-lane interstate while some rig takes 10 or 15 minutes to "pass" another rig going only ½ mph faster than the rig he's trying to pass.
CB isn't hard to jam, especially when the compliant Aussies all limit their CB wattage. If anything they need to have redundancy by setting up an encrypted ham network or some sort of meshnet. When I tell people radio is one of if not THE most important skill it's not a meme. All they had to do in Australia is shut down trucker FB or infiltrate it, jam CB and bam, no one can communicate or organize.
