    • A/C has been saying for quite some time now that "book deals" are basically in-the-open money transfers, primarily for a job-well-done in the past, or to entice future performance.  Such books never sell anything near what would even come close to paying for the "book deal," and yet they such deals are quite commonplace amongst the political elite.
