That's a very Marxist way to look at it. The only thing that really bothers me about it is that these men are not legitimate bishops in the first place, so they're basically swindling unsuspecting laymen.

Free 100 percent medical, dental, car insurance, vehicles, free gas.  They have zero worries and many are partying sodomites.

They close down churches before the pandemic.  They closed down the churches while taking tax payer money that many small businesses never received. 

The laity will own nothing and be happy.

That's quite a bit of money, on top of free room and (I assume) board, insurance, vehicles, and gas.  One could argue whether it is commensurate with their education and experience, and thus deserved.

I would have every expectation that a bishop would live as humbly as possible, and would donate of his excess to the poor, to the legitimate needs of the Church, and possibly even provide for family members (parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, etc.) if they were otherwise in need, including bequests.

A staggering amount of money and perks for these Novus Ordo Bishops. Know wonder they are entirely out of touch with the laity.

Terrible, to be sure, but let’s look from Our Lord’s side.  
Our Lord corrected Elias when he called upon God to judge the unfaithful prophets of Israel.  Elias despaired that he was the only righteous one left!  God set him straight. There were yet 7,000 righteous prophets in the land!  
Now, as then, we hear about the worst.  Bad news and evil appeals to the lowest of men and to the lowest parts of otherwise men of good will.  If not for Original Sin, there’d be no “click-bait.”  
As Baptized and Confirmed Catholics, let’s seek out some of 7,000 who are faithful. (That doesn’t mean we must agree 100% with them on everything. It means they’re striving to follow the traditional faith and lead souls under his care in the right direction.). How about Vignano? Burke? Schneider? Strickland? 
Does it really matter what kind of house they live in?  In cities especially, the cathedrals and bishop’s residences were built in the 1800’s when the Faith was strong and the Catholic poor gave sacrificially to the glory of God.  In New York, for example, the Potato Famine Irish who lived with 16 people crammed into one room on the top floor of a back tenement, in abject poverty didn’t complain how unfair it was that so much money was spent on Old St. Patrick’s and later, on St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  Yes, Cardinal Dolan lives in the luxurious attached residence.  Why shouldn’t he?  The dignity due his office warrants it regardless of whether he is personally worthy.  Shall we tear down the Cathedral because it’s novus ordo?  What an insult to those devout Catholics whose money and labor went into it for the glory of God!  In Heaven, there’s a hierarchy.  While all are in God’s Glorious Presence, God is high and lifted up on His Throne, not seated on a mat in the farthest corner.  Pope St. Pius X lived in splendor, yet was known for his generosity to the poor, even to enemies of the Faith!  Please be careful not to fall into communist thinking in the name of justice.  There are two kinds of justice; Godly Justice, and Social Justice.  They don’t mean the same thing.  In fact, they end up in opposite conclusions.  This would make a topic for another thread.

Maybe turn this thread into brief biographies of bishops who at least seem to be of good will!  

St Patrick’s Cathedral is nothing but a noisy museum.  Also, money changer place like an amusement park souvenir.

Dolan is a pro homo bishop who is unworthy to live there.  Many of them are unfit to hold their positions. They should have been thrown out to the streets years ago.

I don’t trust some of these conservative clergy.  Maybe the Vatican is playing good cop bad cop. 

Viva, that’s really enough. I made my First Holy Communion at Old St. Patrick’s, last Sunday the scene of a heinous sacrilege outside during Mass. From 1995-2001 when starting to take my Faith seriously, having not yet heard of Tradition, I attended weekday 5:30 pm Mass at St. Patrick’s Mon.-Thurs. It was offered by an elderly priest who still had the Faith. He could barely stand and used to be wheeled over to the altar.  He gave a mini-Catechism before each Mass, usually about the Saint of the day and about a point of doctrine or related Church history. His sermon would conclude the catechism, so you didn’t want to be late! He said only the first Eucharistic prayer, no ad-libbing, no silly stuff, no fluff.  Mass ended with Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, after which time he encouraged everyone to remain in the pew, kneel at the altar rail, or proceed to the Lady Chapel in back to make a good thanksgiving. In the Lady Chapel at 6:15, there were devotions, Miraculous Medal on Mondays, Rosary on Tuesdays, Vespers on Wednesdays, Prayers for vocations and priests on Thursdays.  All devotions ended with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament…sung reverently in Latin.  These were the first prayers I learned in Latin.  Sadly, when Card. Egan took over in 2001, one of his first actions was to retire the old priests and to close the Lady Chapel for renovations.  When it reopened, it wasn’t every day.  There was only one Rosary day with the Fatima prayers forbidden, everything updated, all English, no more Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  
My grandparents were married in Old St. Patrick’s, and my Irish ancestors helped fund both St. Pats.  I’ve lit many a candle in St. Patrick’s and prayed there often.  
Yes, it IS a public building open to tourists, New Yorkers, and parishioners alike.  Why?  It’s a Catholic Church, not a private oratory, not a meeting hall for members only, not Protestant, Muslim, Buddhist, or Jєωιѕн or Hindu. Tourists may be a bit noisy, but that’s to be expected. When Mass or other services are in session, at least 2/3 of the pews and the Lady Chapel are roped off.  There’s a very small gift shop just to the right when you enter via the main doors.  It’s closed during Mass.  There’s a large visitor's book to sign, if you wish.  There are full-time security guards at all times, many of whom are moonlighting or retired NYPD.  They don’t put up blatantly anti-Catholic or outrageous behavior. I’ve seen people get removed and in one case, get arrested.  
No, I don’t support Cardinal Dolan’s antics and affinity to the alphabet soup crowd. If he doesn’t convert, he’s in trouble. Those who knowingly support him in sin are just as guilty.

PLEASE, think before you rashly judge and condemn the entirety of the second largest diocese in the USA!  

No matter tourists or no tourists, there should be whispering or complete silence in any Catholic Church. 

It is a turn off to see souvenir coin machine in a church.
