  • I've heard that Eisenhower was the first "Jєωιѕн" president:

I've seen claims that FDR was a crypto-Jєω.

Most of the information below is news to me.

Our First Jєωιѕн President Lyndon Johnson?

A few months ago, the Associated Press reported that newly released tapes from US president Lyndon Johnson’s White House office showed LBJ’s “personal and often emotional connection to Israel.” The news agency pointed out that during the Johnson presidency (1963-1969), “the United States became Israel’s chief diplomatic ally and primary arms supplier.”

But the news report does little to reveal the full historical extent of Johnson’s actions on behalf of the Jєωιѕн people and the State of Israel.  Most students of the Arab-Israeli conflict can identify Johnson as the president during the 1967 war. But few know about LBJ’s actions to rescue hundreds of endangered Jєωs during the h0Ɩ0cαųst – actions that could have thrown him out of Congress and into jail. Indeed, the title of “Righteous Gentile” is certainly appropriate in the case of the Texan, whose centennial year is being commemorated this year.  Appropriately enough, the annual Jerusalem Conference announced this week that it will honor Johnson.
Historians have revealed that Johnson, while serving as a young congressman in 1938 and 1939, arranged for visas to be supplied to Jєωs in Warsaw, and oversaw the apparently illegal immigration of hundreds of Jєωs through the port of Galveston, Texas….
A key resource for uncovering LBJ’s pro-Jєωιѕн activity is the unpublished 1989 doctoral thesis by University of Texas student Louis Gomolak, “Prologue: LBJ’s Foreign Affairs Background, 1908-1948.” Johnson’s activities were confirmed by other historians in interviews with his wife, family members and political associates.

Research into Johnson’s personal history indicates that he inherited his concern for the Jєωιѕн people from his family. His aunt Jessie Johnson Hatcher, a major influence on LBJ, was a member of the Zionist Organization of America. According to Gomolak, Aunt Jessie had nurtured LBJ’s commitment to befriending Jєωs for 50 years. As young boy, Lyndon watched his politically active grandfather “Big Sam” and father “Little Sam” seek clemency for Leo Frank, the Jєωιѕн victim of a blood libel in Atlanta.  Frank was lynched by a mob in 1915, and the Ku Klux Klan in Texas threatened to kill the Johnsons. The Johnsons later told friends that Lyndon’s family hid in their cellar while his father and uncles stood guard with shotguns on their porch in case of KKK attacks. Johnson’s speech writer later stated, “Johnson often cited Leo Frank’s lynching as the source of his opposition to both anti-Semitism and isolationism.”

Already in 1934 – four years before Chamberlain’s Munich sellout to Hitler – Johnson was keenly alert to the dangers of nαzιsm and presented a book of essays, ‘nαzιsm: An Assault on Civilization’, to the 21-year-old woman he was courting, Claudia Taylor – later known as “Lady Bird” Johnson. It was an incredible engagement present.

FIVE DAYS after taking office in 1937, LBJ broke with the “Dixiecrats” and supported an immigration bill that would naturalize illegal aliens, mostly Jєωs from Lithuania and Poland. In 1938, Johnson was told of a young Austrian Jєωιѕн musician who was about to be deported from the United States. With an element of subterfuge, LBJ sent him to the US Consulate in Havana to obtain a residency permit. Erich Leinsdorf, the world famous musician and conductor, credited LBJ for saving his live.

That same year, LBJ warned Jєωιѕн friend, Jim Novy, that European Jєωs faced annihilation. “Get as many Jєωιѕн people as possible out of Germany and Poland,” were Johnson’s instructions. Somehow, Johnson provided him with a pile of signed immigration papers that were used to get 42 Jєωs out of Warsaw.  But that wasn’t enough. According to historian James M. Smallwood, Congressman Johnson used legal and sometimes illegal methods to smuggle “hundreds of Jєωs into Texas, using Galveston as the entry port.  Enough money could buy false passports and fake visas in Cuba, Mexico and other Latin American countries. Johnson smuggled boatloads and planeloads of Jєωs into Texas. He hid them in the Texas National Youth Administration. Johnson saved at least four or five hundred Jєωs, possibly more.”

During World War II Johnson joined Novy at a small Austin gathering to sell $65,000 in war bonds. According to Gomolak, Novy and Johnson then raised a very “substantial sum for arms for Jєωιѕн underground fighters in Palestine.” One source cited by the historian reports that “Novy and Johnson had been secretly shipping heavy crates labeled ‘Texas Grapefruit’ – but containing arms – to Jєωιѕн underground ‘freedom fighters’ in Palestine.”

ON JUNE 4, 1945, Johnson visited Dachau. According to Smallwood, Lady Bird later recalled that when her husband returned home, “he was still shaken, stunned, terrorized, and bursting with an overpowering revulsion and incredulous horror at what he had seen.”

A decade later while serving in the Senate, Johnson blocked the Eisenhower administration’s attempts to apply sanctions against Israel following the 1956 Sinai Campaign. “The indefatigable Johnson had never ceased pressure on the administration,” wrote I.L. “Si” Kenen, the head of AIPAC at the time.  As Senate majority leader, Johnson consistently blocked the anti-Israel initiatives of his fellow Democrat, William Fulbright, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Among Johnson’s closest advisers during this period were several strong pro-Israel advocates, including Benjamin Cohen (who 30 years earlier was the liaison between Supreme Court justice Louis Brandeis and Chaim Weizmann) and Abe Fortas, the legendary Washington “insider.”

Johnson’s concern for the Jєωιѕн people continued through his presidency. Soon after taking office in the aftermath of John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, Johnson told an Israeli diplomat, “You have lost a very great friend, but you have found a better one.”  Just one month after succeeding Kennedy, LBJ attended the December 1963 dedication of the Agudas Achim ѕуηαgσgυє in Austin. Novy opened the ceremony by saying to Johnson, “We can’t thank him enough for all those Jєωs he got out of Germany during the days of Hitler.”  Lady Bird would later describe the day, according to Gomolak: “Person after person plucked at my sleeve and said, ‘I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for him. He helped me get out.’” Lady Bird elaborated, “Jєωs had been woven into the warp and woof of all [Lyndon's] years.”

The PRELUDE to the 1967 war was a terrifying period for Israel, with the US State Department led by the historically unfriendly Dean Rusk urging an evenhanded policy despite Arab threats and acts of aggression. Johnson held no such illusions. After the war he placed
the blame firmly on Egypt: “If a single act of folly was more responsible for this explosion than any other, it was the arbitrary and dangerous announced decision [by Egypt that the Strait of Tiran would be closed [to Israeli ships and Israeli-bound cargo].”

Kennedy was the first president to approve the sale of defensive US weapons to Israel, specifically Hawk anti-aircraft missiles. But Johnson approved tanks and fighter jets, all vital after the 1967 war when France imposed a freeze on sales to Israel. Yehuda Avner recently
described on these pages prime minister Levi Eshkol’s successful appeal for these weapons on a visit to the LBJ ranch.  Israel won the 1967 war, and Johnson worked to make sure it also won the peace. “I sure as hell want to be careful and not run out on little Israel,” Johnson said in a March 1968 conversation with his ambassador to the United Nations, Arthur Goldberg, according to White House tapes recently released.

Soon after the 1967 war, Soviet premier Aleksei Kosygin asked Johnson at the Glassboro Summit why the US supported Israel when there were 80 million Arabs and only three million Israelis. “Because it is a right thing to do,” responded the straight-shooting Texan.

The crafting of UN Resolution 242 in November 1967 was done under Johnson’s scrutiny. The call for “secure and recognized boundaries” was critical. The American and British drafters of the resolution opposed Israel returning all the territories captured in the war. In September 1968, Johnson explained, “We are not the ones to say where other nations should draw lines between them that will assure each the greatest security. It is clear, however, that a return to the  situation of 4 June 1967 will not bring peace. There must be secure and there must be recognized borders. Some such lines must be agreed to by the neighbors involved.”  Goldberg later noted, “Resolution 242 in no way refers to Jerusalem, and this omission was deliberate.” This historic diplomacy was conducted under Johnson’s stewardship, as Goldberg related in oral history to the Johnson Library. “I must say for Johnson,” Goldberg stated. “He gave me great personal support.”

Robert David Johnson, a professor of history at Brooklyn College, recently wrote in The New York Sun, Johnson’s policies stemmed more from personal concerns – his friendship with leading Zionists, his belief that America had a moral obligation to bolster Israeli security and his conception of Israel as a frontier land much like his home state of Texas. His personal concerns led him to intervene when he felt that the State or Defense departments had insufficiently appreciated Israel’s diplomatic or military needs.”

President Johnson firmly pointed American policy in a pro-Israel direction. In a historical context, the American emergency airlift to Israel in 1973, the constant diplomatic support, the economic and military assistance and the strategic bonds between the two countries can all be credited to the seeds planted by LBJ.

    ADDITONAL NOTE:

Lyndon Johnson’s maternal ancestors, the Huffmans, apparently migrated to Frederick, Maryland from Germany sometime in the mid-eighteenth century.  Later they moved to Bourbon, Kentucky and eventually settled in Texas in the mid-to-late nineteenth century.

According to Jєωιѕн law, if a person’s mother is Jєωιѕн, then that person is automatically Jєωιѕн, regardless of the father’s ethnicity or religion.  The facts indicate that both of Lyndon Johnson’s great-grandparents, on the maternal side, were Jєωιѕн.

These were the grandparents of Lyndon’s mother, Rebecca Baines. Their names were John S. Huffman and Mary Elizabeth Perrin.  John Huffman’s mother was Suzanne Ament, a common Jєωιѕн name. Perrin is also a common Jєωιѕн name.

Huffman and Perrin had a daughter, Ruth Ament Huffman, who married Joseph Baines and together they had a daughter, Rebekah Baines, Lyndon Johnson’s mother. The line of Jєωιѕн mothers can be traced back three generations in Lyndon Johnson’s family tree. There is little doubt that he was Jєωιѕн.

  • Some of this stuff has been privately percolating since the late sixties and early seventies—once, that is, that at least a few horrified people began pursuing the consequences of the hard evidence that the order to allow the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty to continue without response came from LBJ himself. Of course, there had been people in Texas who knew far better and far sooner what the score was, but calling out Jєωs as ipso facto disloyal was almost as much of a no-no then as it is now.

I believe that I first read material to precisely the effect your quoted matter lays out—whether in an actual article or in comments upon an article I fail to recall offhand—at The Occidental Observer, Kevin McDonald's site, fully five years ago. Whether Johnson was a true Christophobe in his blood and bones or simply played one for public consumption hardly matters, however. He always had big Jєωιѕн money in his corner, from the very start of his corrupt career in Texas down to his arrival at the White House door. In short, he was a criminal who, unlike many others, not only was bought but stayed bought!

  • Eisenhower wasn't Jєωιѕн, that was a lame joke in a year book.

He was, however, raised as a Jehovah's Witness when that organization was stridently pro-Zionist and one might even say Jєωιѕн supremacist.  His vile treatment of the Germans could well have been the result of his being raised Jehovah's Witness.

  • Texas has a history of Jєωιѕн influence:

"Colonel" Edwin Mandel House, who was President Wilson's closest advisor and an agent of international finance and a leftist was a Texas Colonel.

His middle name came from the surname of a Jєωιѕн friend of his fathers.

  • Do either of you give any credence to the theory that LBJ was the main player behind Kennedy's assassination?

From what I've read of LBJ he comes off like a sociopath.

It's not worth it to talk about the Kennedy assassination.  Just as it's not worth it to discuss 9/11.  The well has been poisoned on those topics.

More about Johnson from a pro-Zionist source:

    Quote
Research into Johnson's personal history indicates that he inherited his concern for the Jєωιѕн people from his family. His aunt Jessie Johnson Hatcher, a major influence on LBJ, was a member of the Zionist Organization of America. When Jєωιѕн garbage rapes and murders a young girl it's "blood libel"

When Jєωs murder US sailors in an unprovoked fαℓѕє fℓαg attack, it's an "accident" - for LBJ.

When they try to start a war based on a gassing murder that they probably are themselves responsible for, and they don't get their way because their lies have become too much of a liability even for the trotskyite Jєω leader of the opposition then that is supposedly "proof" that the Jєωs don't have power.

Let's face it: someone who befriends abortion loving Jєωs and who spends his time railing against "kooks and nuts" who don't like those abortion loving Jєωs  isn't on the side of Catholics.  He's an enemy.

With respect, if you have a look at either or both of two impeccably researched books by James Bacque—Other Losses: An Investigation into the Mass Deaths of German Prisoners at the Hands of the French and Americans after World War II and Crimes and Mercies: The Fate of German Civilians under Allied Occupation, 1944–1950—you may come away wondering how lame the joke was and whom it was on.

These books do not retail Internet gossip in a sensationalist mode. Rather, they lay out horrific facts in so rigorously docuмented a way that something akin to a boredom with the truth begins to set in at some point. When Other Losses was first published (1989), Stephen Ambrose and other Ike-worshiping Establishment brown-nosers (Michael Beschloss among them) denounced it as conspiracy mongering. He formally announced that he was writing a book in rebuttal. Though he lived another thirteen years, he never quite got round to writing it, however. I'm sure that more important work—palling around with Ken Burns, appearing on Charlie Rose's show and in the Sunday morning disinformation ghetto—simply got in the way.

World War II had one genuine h0Ɩ0cαųst: the one perpetrated at Eisenhower's express command against millions of German soldiers and civilians.

  • Eisenhower's rapid advancement in the military seems to be a result of the ol' Jєωιѕн networking. People who knew him considered him a lightweight and were astonished at his rise.

    Thanks for the book recommendations.

I quite agree about the sociopath bit. As for the assassination, the only thing I'm sure about is that Oswald was a patsy. Everything else is too insubstantial to waste one's time thinking about. Besides, JFK was a bum and a degenerate. His getting offed and being replaced by LBJ hardly differs in kind from what went on in Rome during the period of the barracks emperors.

Precisely! What's even more interesting is that I first read words to this very effect—in one of the big New York dailies, either the Times or the Herald Tribune—during his presidency; i.e., before I turned fifteen and before Ike was canonized by "respectable" opinion makers. I recall, too , that my old man, who had been a Taft supporter in 1952, frequently spoke derisively of Ike. He noted in particular that MacArthur (whose name was always mentioned almost worshipfully chez moi) had booted Ike off his staff back in the thirties. (This is indeed a matter of public record, one that hasn't yet been expunged by our Semitic overseers.) The bad blood between Ike and MacArthur never got resolved.

He had the means (very wealthy), motive (becoming president), and opportunity (open limo on a downtown Texas street). That's hardly proof, but LBJ was a scoundrel, and I wouldn't have put anything past him. If you haven't already, do some research on Billie Sol Estes, an LBJ henchman.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

LBJ Grandaughter: Now A Jєω, Married to Grandson of cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρ Survivor

    http://www.israelbehindthenews.com/bin/content.cgi?ID=1920&q=1

Claudia Taylor Brod never met her grandfather, Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th president of the United States.

She inherited his legacy through history books, old family photos and countless stories from her grandmother, Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson, who is 91 and still lives on the LBJ Ranch in Stonewall, Texas.

Among the lessons handed down, Brod says, were a sense of compassion and an obligation to give back to her community.

The youngest child of Luci Baines Johnson Turpin -- President Johnson's youngest daughter -- Brod, 28, says those lessons helped her realize "that I was part of this family, part of this legacy and with that came a lot of responsibility for what I had been given."

Now Brod has begun to put those lessons into action at home in Miami Beach, where she has lived since 2000.

    Donated $10,000

To celebrate the birth of her first child in February, Brod and her husband, Steven, donated $10,000, drawn from the Lyndon Johnson Family Foundation, to the h0Ɩ0cαųst Survivors Program run by Jєωιѕн Community Services, a non-denominational agency for residents of Miami-Dade County. The gift was made on behalf of Brod's obstetrician, Dr. Steven Silvers, but her interest in Judaism runs deep.

Brod, whose husband is the grandchild of h0Ɩ0cαųst survivors, converted to Judaism in 2003.

It was not easy to renounce Catholicism -- "I went to mass every Sunday until I turned 18," she says -- but Judaism "makes a little more sense to me.

"I started to read about the Jєωιѕн faith and I was really taken by it," she says. "I related to its unity and its survival over thousands of years."

Though she does not keep kosher and generally goes to temple only on holidays, Brod says she has embraced Judaism's emphasis on family and traditions.

"I love that you're not supposed to answer the phone [on the Sabbath] and that it gives you time to spend with family," she says.

As a steward of the Johnson family legacy, Brod believes her grandfather's administration is disproportionately defined by President Johnson's ordering thousands of American troops to Vietnam and committing America to major combat there.

"That kind of saddens me," she says.

James Smallwood, a retired history professor at Oklahoma State University, agrees that Vietnam overshadows Johnson's populist agendas -- the War on Poverty and the Great Society -- and the president's leadership in persuading Congress to pass landmark legislation such as the Civil Rights Act, the Voter Act, the Medicare amendment to the Social Security Act, and the Open Housing Law.

But there's more about Johnson's political career that remains obscure, particularly "Operation Texas," an allegedly covert program that Smallwood says helped save dozens, perhaps hundreds, of Jєωs from the h0Ɩ0cαųst.

Smallwood purports that Johnson surreptitiously supplied docuмents to a friend who then used those docuмents to help Jєωs flee Eastern Europe and resettle in America.

'Some things that Johnson did were definitely unorthodox if not illegal,' Smallwood says.

But no one has presented any evidence to support such an allegation, says Claudia Anderson, an archivist with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in Austin. Anderson traces the legend of "Operation Texas" to a speech given by a prominent Jєωιѕн businessman in Austin, Jim Novy, during a dedication ceremony, which Johnson attended, for a ѕуηαgσgυє named Congregation Agudas Achim in December 1963.

    Helped Jєωs

In his dedication speech, which was recorded, Novy alleged that in 1938 then-congressman Johnson had helped arrange -- through letters and telephone calls to ambassadors and immigration officials -- for 42 Jєωιѕн refugees from Germany and Poland to obtain visas to enter America.

Novy's speech also claimed that in 1940 Johnson used his political influence to skirt Texas law and help lodge Jєωιѕн refugees in state youth camps.

But, Anderson says, "there is absolutely no substantiation of that whatsoever."

Anderson did, however, find evidence that Johnson wrote letters to U.S. embassies in Eastern Europe, prior to World War II, that helped expedite the immigration of Jєωιѕн refugees to America.

"I definitely believe Johnson helped Jєωιѕн people come into this country by helping them cut red tape and immigration procedures," Anderson says.

Brod says she first learned of "Operation Texas" from her mother. And though she does not remember the details of the story, she found it to be "an act of moral courage" by her grandfather.

"He did some wonderful things as far as civil rights, as far as education, but this one in particular was one I could relate to," she says. "I married someone who's Jєωιѕн and then I became Jєωιѕн myself."

It also cemented Brod's conviction to carry on the family legacy of civic involvement.

"My grandmother did conservation. My grandfather did education," she says. "I feel it's my obligation.... The Jєωιѕн community is a good place to start."

This is a pretty solid bit of evidence in support of the view that LBJ was a Marrano through and through.

By the way, I hadn't seen Telesphorus's comment on the Kennedy assassination when I wrote my own. Clearly we're on much the same page on this topic.

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it.
