What is the latest news from Info Wars that was being discussed after Mass?
This was back in September(I live far from that and any mass center), so I don't remember the topics.
Fr. did discuss how Jones covers up for the zionists, and warned against being overly concerned with conspiracy news. But, the point that I want to make is that the majority of the faithful were clearly frequenting his site. And, if he is not who he says he is, then people should know about it.
That's good that the priest says Jones covers for Zionists, even though I would be more likely to use the more general and larger term which happens to be Jєωs. But that is no criticism of him. He has to be somewhat discreet and cautious in this area.
I honestly don't know what to think of Jones. He does have some good information. But, ultimately, I think he is something of a fear monger and exists to frighten people into a kind of paralysis. On the other hand, this can serve as a stepping stone to much better and finer tuned information.
I think the greatest danger for Catholics listening to Jones is his misguided faith in America and the Constitution. I don't want to go back to 1776. This contributes to the Americanist Heresy that has been going on since the Colonies got started here.
Not to mention that Catholics have been wiped out from the beginnings of this country. Now it is happening to every American who is not a minority, a communist, or a crook. If Catholics can see through this lens what was done and continues to be done to them in the US, by seeing what is being done currently to everyone, then it can be a good.
As with everything. It's ok to listen as long as you discern it properly by having some knowledge of history from other sources. In other words, you have to be critical.
For most people, he is merely the latest in a line of movements one makes to make sense of the world. I come from working class Democrats years ago. We became Republicans, then I started listening to Rush, and so it goes. Alex seems to be positioned to get the people who no longer believe in Rush talking them down from a tree like a cat who climbed too high. Unfortunately, nothing gets done through listening which is of course a exercise in passivity. So end result is we have a bunch of pacifists who roar like lions, but don't realize they are lions that roar within the confines of a cage.
So there you have it. I said much more than I had planned. And all I really said in the end is, "it's a mixed bag". Unfortunately, what else is new? So my final advice is to not eat from mixed bags. Get peanuts or walnuts and stick to it. Forget the mixes. As long as you are seriously grounded in the Faith, you can use Jones to add new information to your already properly formed view of things. And that is true of everyone who has a channel into the masses.
