It appears that Congress has little to do with running the country as the Executive Branch grabs the legislative power of the Congress. President Obama is legislating from the White House by misusing Executive Orders and government regulations. For example, he has mandated cap & trade through the EPA; is writing the legislation for Obamacare from the White House; and he is forcing through blanket amnesty via Executive Order, et cetera.

One of the most concerning examples is Executive Order 13547, which seizes all seas, the coasts and the Great Lakes and turns ultimate control of them over to the UN.  Before I explain this particular order, I need to give some background information.

We hear a lot about George Soros and his influence on the direction our government is taking, but we do not hear much about John Podesta, the CEO and President of  The Center for American Progress. His organization has literally written the blueprint for President Obama’s fundamental transformation of the nation via executive orders and the overreach of government agencies.

Executive Orders and government agencies are not meant to circuмvent Congress. The Constitution of the United States clearly says … the President of the United States is to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed…” (Art. 2, Section 3 Const.). Article 1 of the Constitution  vests all legislative power in the Congress.

Executive Orders should be used as a means of enacting what needs to be done according to existing law. They are not meant to create laws.

Consider the following example of John Podesta’s influence as he encourages President Obama to misuse his powers as Chief Executive in his organization’s position paper.

Podesta said recently, “I think most of the conversation since the election (Editor’s note: Nov. 2010) has been about how President Obama adjusts to the new situation on Capitol Hill. While that’s an important conversation, it simply ignores the president’s ability to use all levels of his power and authority to move the country forward.” (Bold is Editor’s mark)

He continues, “One of the best ways for the Obama administration to achieve results of that nature, in the short term, is through substantial executive authority to make and implement policy. As noted in the Constitution and the laws of the United States give the president the ability and the responsibility to act as the chief executive using authorities granted to all presidents such as executive orders, rule-makings, agency management and public-private partnerships.”

John Podesta, ignoring the November, 2010 election, is justifying the end-run around Congress as something that reflects the will of the people as he encourages what amounts to a political revolution.

One of the most dangerous abuses of Executive Orders is Executive Order 13547  which, in effect, is a treaty being enforced by Obama despite the fact that it is illegal. It has never been approved by the 2/3 rds vote of the Senate as required by law because Obama found a way around the Senate vote.

The more you hear about the treaty, the less you will like it.

Treaties are signed all the time on issues relating to arms, missiles, food, peace, sanctions, but all parties must agree and, in the United States, they must be ratified by a 2/3 rds vote of the Senate.

At this juncture, a little history on the UN Law of the Sea  helps explain why this treaty is so dangerous. Back in the 70′s, the UN came up with the Law of the Sea Treaty.  The purpose was to seize control of all the earth’s land and waterways because the UN is Marxist and does not believe in private property. They believe all land belongs to everyone. I’m not making this stuff up, click here to see the UN’s position on private property  This group then formed their own convention which was paid for by monies collected illegally.

The U.S. has not signed the treaty because it cedes U.S. sovereignty to the UN  no matter what U.S. interests are. People have to realize that the UN does not favor the U.S.or Israel. The mandates and fees to be incurred by this treaty will undoubtedly be subject to enormous corruption we cannot control. Mining permits will be given only by the UN who will in turn dole them out according to the Marxist redistributive philosophy. There is also a voting scheme that allows blocking votes for U.S. submissions even though the U.S. has a permanent seat.

Along comes Obama’s Executive Order 13547, “Stewardship of the Ocean, Our Coasts, and the Great Lakes.”  The name is misleading and has little to do with stewardship and a lot to do with full seizure.  President Obama signed this order as a follow up to a recommendation by the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force, which he (Obama) formed in 2009, and which was crafted in line with the Law of the Sea Treaty mandates.
 
Then Obama went one step further.   Obama circuмvented Congress  by including into the law, section 2, Policy, paragraph b (ii) in which he (Obama) establishes the initial connection to “international law” by stating his policy is to be promoted by cooperating and exercising leadership at the international level and pursuing the United States’ accession to the Law of the Sea Convention which falls under the Law of the Sea and which has not been ratified by our Senate.

Section 9 clearly states, “In carrying out the provisions of this order and implementing the Final Recommendations, all actions of the Council and the executive departments, agencies, and offices that constitute it shall be consistent with applicable international law, including customary international law, such as that reflected in the Law of the Sea Convention.”

Also in the decree, Obama agrees to support climate change and social justice (Marxism) – “By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is here by ordered as follows: Section 1. Purpose. The ocean, our coasts, and the Great Lakes…America’s stewardship of the ocean, our coasts, and the Great Lakes is intrinsically linked to environmental sustainability, human health and well-being, national prosperity, adaptation to climate and other environmental changes, social justice, international diplomacy, and national and homeland security.

President Obama consistently ignores federal law and Congress. John Podesta has more power than Congress. The President is ceding our Constitution and sovereignty to the UN, a Marxist organization.

Obama’s mandates have often been planned at the beginning of  his administration. For instance, the framework and financing for the Obamacare panel was built into the Stimulus. This treaty was set up as evidenced by Obama’s 2009 Interagency Ocean Policy Council. Most everything Obama has done has been a well-orchestrated set up from day one and he does it effortlessly as he flits from one golf course to another.

So, who is running the country and what is the plan?

Obama and all his Marxist buddies are a bunch of earth worshipers.

On another note it's clear that the Church has been heavily infiltrated as almost every single diocese has a ministry dedicated to social justice.

This is just the first of many blows to our country from Obama and the UN to come. Next they'll take our guns away.
