  • I don't sense these under 40s are mentally very strong when it comes to a real crisis.

As the world breaks down into war, economic chaos, global communism or whatever is coming how do you think they will react?

    ѕυιcιdєs?
    Mental illness?
    Arson?
    Wife-beating?
    Avocado-toast throwing?

  • I can’t wait!  Being OLD, I have the know-how to exist, even thrive without digital anything, without cell phones, Door Dash, Amazon, Google, Facebook, video games, keyboards...
My knowledge is for sale in which ever currency suits the conditions.  Cash, barter for services, goods, food, clothing, shelter, you name it!

  • Many already have mental illness that's induced by Big Pharma pills, social engineering programs (schools), growing up in a single mother household and, foremost, because their spirit is not of God but of the world.

ѕυιcιdєs will increase. Nihilism will increase. Degeneracy will increase. Immorality will increase.

They will take the Mark of the Beast without hesitation.

Pretend that everything online, everything that involves any sort of connectivity, vanishes indefinitely.  They'd be totally helpless.

I shake my head scornfully that the thought of the best and highest use of handheld technology is... taking selfies in any, and I do mean any, conceivable human scenario you could imagine.  Callow beyond words.

At the Second Coming, they'd be trying to take selfies as Our Lord comes on clouds of glory.

  • This article says that 70 MILLION Americans are on mind-altering drugs: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2555950/70-MILLION-Americans-mind-altering-drugs-shock-statistic-shows-extent-use-illegal-legal-narcotics.html. Add to that alcohol, which is a mind altering drug, and some cigarette smokers and you have 1/3 of the population not able to cope with even the easy life we have in the USA.

  • Many of the youngest generations will be among those who would FREAK if there was any kind of real disaster or collapse.

All the time spent playing multiplayer online games could have been spend doing literally *anything else* which would have been more useful in REAL LIFE.

If forced to spend 100% of time IRL, they will be at a severe disadvantage, as literally years of their life was spent in front of a screen clicking on Orcs and leveling up, or playing military first-person simulations (Call of Duty, etc.) -- almost 0 of which would transfer well to actual combat, survival, or tactical skills.

Aiming with a mouse or keyboard is NOT the same as handling a real gun! Need I point out.

And think of how little discipline gamers have. When they lose, or get frustrated, they call their opponents filthy names, racial slurs, cuss words, blasphemy, etc. Some even get physical, destroying or damaging their controllers when they really lose their temper. Where is it acceptable to act that way IRL when things get tough? But here's the real issue: you can taunt and belittle your VIRTUAL opponent all you want; he lives across the country. He's not going to fly out and beat you up. But IRL? You'll get your butt handed to you if you tick off someone standing in front of you.

As I said above, those who live in front of their PC are not known for their fighting prowess, IRL skills, or any kind of RELEVANT experience.

No... but simulators are better at training in visual acuity, the effect of recoil, and so on, than you would think.  My son loves this stuff, and he is a very good shot, excellent in fact, with his BB and pellet pistols and rifles out back in the yard.  We set up targets, backstops, plink aluminum cans, and so on.  He may take it after me --- I've been a natural from the first time I ever went to a range (this per the retired Marine gunnery sergeant who trained me) --- but whatever the reason, he's pretty good.  I have offered to let him go to the range with me and handle .22LR anytime he wishes, but he doesn't feel ready for that yet.  It will come.  Target practice is part of our homeschool physical education unit.  I seriously doubt any public school in the land, aside from ROTC, does anything like this.  I could be wrong.

So true.  An eight year old boy in my class was very excited to receive an invitation to a classmate’s birthday party at a bowling alley.  Little “Marcus” was decidedly unpopular because of his superior attitude towards others when it came to academics and his spoiled rotten attitude with everything else.  Not noticing that every child and the two teachers were invited, he loudly proclaimed how he was “great at bowling,” and would win every game, going home with “a ton of prizes.”
The birthday boy rolled his eyes and murmured to his seat mate, “There goes Marcus bragging again.”
After enduring three school days of Marcus’s boasting, the party day arrived.  Nearly everyone gathered at the bowling alley where a section had been reserved.  As soon as Marcus and his mother arrived, the trouble began.  “It’s too loud, Mama!  How come it’s so loud?”  “There’s the prizes!  I’m gonna open one.”  (They weren’t prizes; they were Leo’s birthday gifts.). His mother pulled him away and Marcus bit her hand.  A mother-son slap fest ensued until another mother offered a cupcake.)  The children and adults were split into teams, about which Marcus whined. He didn’t want a girl called Latchmi on his team and said to her, “Go away. You smell like poop.”  There was a big commotion in which Marcus made an insincere apology and Latchmi switched teams.  We got the children lined up to receive their balls and try them out.  Marcus looked around asking for “the wand.”  His mother showed him a magenta colored ball which he rejected as being “a girl color.”  She let him pick his own ball that happened to be already claimed by another child.  That boy and his teenaged sister reluctantly gave it over.  Marcus’s mother held it with in place with Marcus’s fingers in the holes, then counted to three and let go.  Marcus and the ball fell straight to the floor and the ball rolled slowly to the right gutter and disappeared.  Marcus’s score, Zero.  “Mama, where’s the wand?  I want the wand!  This isn’t bowling!  It’s a stupid game!  I hate it!  Gimme a prize!  I wanna prize!”  He snatched a large wrapped gift and began tearing off the paper.  Mama pulled him backwards and Leo began I got crying as he tried to rescue his gift.  Several boys and one girl jumped into the fray.  Latchmi ran and cowered in a corner.  Most of the children stood back, looking shocked.  Marcus proceeded to have a full-blown tantrum, kicking, pounding the floor, spitting, and cussing.  Poor Leo stood there and wailed.  Leo’s mother approached Marcus’s mother and politely and firmly told her to take Marcus home.  She did so, but only after rudely informing her that her son thought it was a Wii bowling party, that if she’d known, she wouldn’t have brought her darling to be humiliated in front of his classmates, and that she was taking the gift that Marcus had unwrapped and would purchase a replacement.
Marcus was expelled from school for stabbing a girl’s eardrum about six weeks after ruining Leo’s party.  I’ve lost track of him.  But I know he is out there, somewhere, a simmering Millennial volcano waiting to be woken up.  Scary!

Or he may become the CEO of some corporation one of these days.  Or go far in Democratic politics.

Our young Marcus needs to be shipped off to the strictest military school there is (are they still strict anymore?) and have his life reorganized in such a way that he never gets his way on anything.

Marcus would be about 21 or 22.  I know of no branch of the military that would put up with him.  Unless he’s undertaken to improve his physical condition, he’d be laughed out of the recruiting office.  I recall seeing him at a graduation about five or six years ago, and he was very obese.  Wii bowling and piles of hot wings tend to do that to the human body.

I was referring to military academies for middle and high school students, such as the one (New York Military Academy) that Trump attended.  There used to be tons of them --- Fork Union, Staunton, Randolph-Macon, Millersburg, and many others.  Staunton and Millersburg no longer exist.  I considered asking my parents to send me to Staunton, a friend of mine went there.

  • Two of my cousins went to LaSalle on Long Island, New York.  That one is long gone as well.  There is one in Front Royal, Virginia, Randolph-Macon Academy.  But it’s too late for Marcus.
