Mike Pence denounces Q as Conspiracy Theory

  • Vice President Mike Pence is dismissing QAnon as a “conspiracy theory,” drawing a line of distinction between himself and President Donald Trump, who earlier this week suggested he appreciated supporters of the theory backing his candidacy.
“We dismiss conspiracy theories around here out of hand,” Pence said Friday on CNN's “New Day," saying he had heard Trump's comments and subsequently decrying the media that “chases after shiny objects.”

Asked on CBS' “CBS This Morning” if he was inflaming attention on the group by not going on the record to oppose it, Pence decried “spending time on a major network to talk about some conspiracy online theory,” later adding, "I don’t know anything about QAnon, and I dismiss it out of hand."
QAnon has ricocheted around the darker corners of the internet since late 2017, but it has been creeping into mainstream politics more and more. The baseless theory centers on an alleged anonymous, high-ranking government official known as “Q,” who shares information about an anti-Trump “deep state” often tied to satanism and child sex trafficking.
Trump, speaking during a White House press conference on Wednesday, courted the support of those who put stock in the convoluted conspiracy theory, saying, “I heard that these are people that love our country.”
It was Trump’s first public comment on the subject and continued a pattern of the Republican president appearing unwilling to resoundingly condemn extremists who support his candidacy.
Trump insisted he hadn’t heard much about the QAnon movement, “other than I understand they like me very much” and “it is gaining in popularity.” Days earlier, he had ignored a question about QAnon at another White House briefing.
Trump has retweeted QAnon-promoting accounts, and shirts and hats with QAnon symbols and slogans are not uncommon at his rallies.
An FBI bulletin last May warned that conspiracy theory-driven extremists have become a domestic terrorism threat. The bulletin specifically mentioned QAnon. Earlier last year, the Southern Poverty Law Center warned that the movement is becoming increasingly popular with anti-government extremists.

  • Sorry, but here is where Q -- and any hope for Trump being a good guy -- crashes and burns.

How can Trump be the good guy, if his VP dismisses "conspiracy theories" -- and furthermore pegs Q as a "conspiracy theory". That term was made up as a bludgeon to smash anyone peddling truth against their mainstream propaganda lies.

Anyone who speaks of "conspiracy theories" that way is a Deep State tool, because the very idea that all cօռspιʀαcιҽs are false, or should be dismissed out of hand, is ridiculous.

Who believes that no one is evil? Or that evil men don't get together to plan things? Or that any evil plans are published widely for all to read -- no secrets?

Why does Trump have a swamp creature for his VP? Why should I vote for them as a package deal? Maybe I'll vote for Trump if he gets himself a new VP who isn't a swamp creature, thus rekindling hope and a reason to vote for him.

Otherwise we're back to literally the "lesser of two evils", if that.

  • I disagree with CBS' characterisation that this was a contradiction of what Trump said. Trump didn't offer any credence to Q; he just said that Q's followers are patriotic Americans with good intentions.

Pence isn't contradicting that at all, but just dismissing that idea that the Trump administration has anything to do with Q. He was even specifically asked to say he opposed it, and he refused to do so. He just said he knew nothing about it, which surely he would if Q had any involvement in the admin.

Whoever Q is, he's already been shown to be wrong about numerous predictions, even his earliest ones(Clinton was being "extradited for arrest" back in like 2017, according to him). At times he's flat out lied(he said aliens exist, and he also admitted that he lies at times for strategic reasons or some nonsense). I think whoever he is that he has connections, there's simply no way he's just a guy in his basement somewhere, but he's not who he implies he is and he doesn't know all he implies he knows.

  • What's next, Pence throwing around "racist" or "αnтι-ѕємιтє"?  Then he'd use the whole trifecta of pseudo-adjectives with no precise meaning, made up to destroy good people.

When I hear people making use of Jєω words like "conspiracy theory", "racist", and "αnтι-ѕємιтє", my bad guy radar goes off at full-volume.

If Pence really dismisses the whole Q thing out of hand, especially calling it a Jєωιѕн term like "Conspiracy Theory", when he should CLEARLY know better, he's a f***ing moron, and no better than Joe Biden.

The only alternative: that there isn't anything to Q, which is why Pence hasn't looked into it. In that case, Trump isn't a good guy to begin with, but just another Bush/Clinton/Obama/Deep State puppet, and I reach the same conclusion: Trump/Pence and Biden/hαɾɾιs are literally a choice of tomato/tomahto or cancer/heart-attack.

A pro-life, anti-ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ family man with personal morals far better than either Biden or Trump - is now no better than a pro-abortion, pro-ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ, pro-illegal migrant, anti-white, pseudo-socialist, gun-grabbing, feminist disgrace to the Catholic faith... because he denied having connections to a repeated liar and bearer of false predictions?

Pence didn't speak ill of Q's followers at all either, despite being pressured to, but when the 2nd in command of the Trump administration denies Q is part of it - why must that be Pence lying and not Q?

  • I apologise for my tone; it's unwarrantedly combative here. I just think there's a lot better hills to die on than the veracity of QAnon.

If Q is a larp, a lie, or whatever, then there goes "The Plan" and everything connected to it. The whole "Q Plan" is what suggested that Trump was different or actually opposed to the Deep State (child torturers, pedophiles, satanists).

If Trump is no better than George Bush -- just keeping us conservatives and God-followers "appeased for another 4 years" so they can slowly boil us frogs another 4 years and shift that Overton Window to the Left for another 4 years gradually without waking anyone up...

Forget that! I'd rather accelerate the collapse and wake everyone up. Let's get it on. If there's no hope for the current system, let's bring it all down already. If the only path to healing is to lance the boil, let's get out the lance! If I can't morally vote for Biden, I'll stay home. I know that's permitted at least.

We are left with voting for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. No thanks.

  • He almost had me too.

Just a few weeks ago, I posted a thread in which I considered voting for Trump after all.

    Now this.

I guess we are being punished by not having any acceptable candidates to vote for.

  • For Trump to be part of the conspiracy he would have to be one of the greatest thespians the world has ever known. People, HE STINKS AT ACTING! HE CAN’T ACT, PERIOD! Why would someone who was almost universally loved by the Hollywood crowd just a few years ago, allow himself and his family to be ostracized by the very same people? The only way he is part of the conspirators plan, would be if he is an unknowing pawn.
For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?

He's giving Jєωlywood everything it could hope for:
Totalitarianism; social chaos; closed churches; COVID19 hoax; shutdown of the economy; militantly pro-sodomy; anti-marriage/anti-family (BLM); etc.
Trump doesn't need to act: You only need to watch what transpires under his misleadership.

Interestingly, this commentator on YouTube, though not a Catholic, makes the interesting observation that the whole Q phenomena seems to an operation in subduing political/social action on the part of Trump's base that is deemed detrimental to the legitimacy of the establishment. The whole video goes into this comparison between how the Grassroots Right was FAR more pro-active back in 2016 than were they are now. The Meme Wars and the rise of the "Alt-Right" and their dissemination of politically incorrect ideas are brought up as examples, and the user points out how this was done by average people.

However, now with the whole Q thing, people are caught in this cycle where they're constantly waiting for new information from an unknown source, having to do with various sorts of "conspiracy theories" that may be true. However, it does not really have as much of an effect on the lives of the average Trump supporter as compared to something like the demographic shift or getting outsiders into positions of power in the GOP.

For the record, I am not denying that there are legitimate cօռspιʀαcιҽs (and neither does the commentator), however the point is that these theories are being brought up to distract from other issues. I think this guy is correct in his observation that I've just summarized above.

Also, I do not support the "Daily Stormer", which is brought up in this video as an example of a website that was used to "jam the culture" back in 2016. Just to warn those who do not want to hear such things, there is also some minor swearing present.

    Here is the video itself:

    Quote
When Columbus told people the world was a ball and not a pancake, they were highly upset. They were being asked to reject their way of thinking of a lifetime and adopt a whole new outlook. The "intellectuals" of the day scoffed at Columbus and people were afraid they would lose social prestige if they listened to him.

    :/

I'm not one to condemn an entire book for one inaccuracy, but a blatant anti-Catholic smear this early on is a troubling sign. He also equates all forms of "total government"; an equation of monarchy with Communism is a little absurd(as well as uncatholic), as his idea that Great Britain was an absolute monarchy in 1776(while the colonies weren't represented, it had a parliament).

I'll continue reading if you reckon it's good, but really this reeks of hasty research and Americanism.

Hey, the warriors in each of the tribes (living in the darkness of paganism, in the heart of Africa, in a bitter war against each other) take their war seriously as well! They are each earnestly striving to destroy the other side, and the victor will kill the survivors of the vanquished, destroy their villages, capture and enslave their women and children, etc.
But in both cases, there is no "good guy" that Catholics should concern themselves about, or go out of their way to support.
