But here's a big question I have: if Brigitte is really a man, then why have they only brought this up now? 4/5ths of the way through his tenure as president of France?
For those who don't know, Macron was trailing in the polls until early 2017 when a scandal sank François Fillion, the previous establishment candidate. This sank his chances and the party that used to be the establishment right-wing of the Fifth Republic. If they wanted to use this against him, they had two chances in 2022 and 2017 to distract from Monsieur Jesse Ventura over there and elect someone else.
It was attempted in the past (see below) but it's taken a gutsy American who can stand tall behind the First amendment of the Bill of Rights. Without that shield its a pretty dangerous venture.
"When did the rumor about Brigitte Macron's birth gender start?According to local reports, last summer, a defamation lawsuit was filed against two French women, who appeared in a YouTube video claiming that Brigitte was born in 1953 as a boy under the name "Jean-Michel Trogneux," which is in fact Brigitte's brother's name.
In 2021, Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey shared the four-hour video on YouTube, and years later, they were persecuted by a court in Normandy city for sharing the allegation against Brigitte Macron." Ref: The Node, 17 March 2024.
