The lawyer for one of the victims of Jeffrey Epstein said President Trump was the “only” high powered person to help him with his investigation, contradicting claims by some that Trump is implicated in Epstein’s crimes.

“The only thing that I can say about President Trump is that he is the only person who, in 2009 when I served a lot of subpoenas on a lot of people, or at least gave notice to some pretty connected people, that I want to talk to them, is the only person who picked up the phone and said, let’s just talk,” said Edwards.
“I’ll give you as much time as you want. I’ll tell you what you need to know, and was very helpful, in the information that he gave, and gave no indication whatsoever that he was involved in anything untoward whatsoever, but had good information. That checked out and that helped us and we didn’t have to take a deposition of him in 2009.”

I know this is being taken as a sign of Trump's innocence, but it hit me a little differently. By volunteering information, and good information, he avoided being deposed. He also exerted some control over the direction of the investigation. As a bonus it puts him in a lot of good graces. This could have been just a smart and highly strategic move.

I wouldn't be surprised if this went either way for Trump. He is pretty far from saintly but whether he is a monster like all the others is yet to be seen. I hope not but that doesn't count for much these days.

Everything that President Trump said about former Attorney General Jeff Sessions was only part of the show.
It is called bantering. Its purpose was to cause confusion and mislead the Deep State
into supporting Jeff Sessions, which they did. Ha Ha.

This isn't about the Clintons.  Nothing will happen to the Clintons ... unless it's necessary to get at Trump. This is about getting at Trump after he refused go  comply with the Jєωιѕн command to bomb Iran.  So their agent Epstein is now threatening to sing unless Trump complies.  And if Trump doesn't, Epstein will implicate Trump.

As apollo pointed out, the media spin has been the relationship between Trump, Acosta, and Epstein.  For all we know, Acosta was planted in the Trump cabinet precisely for this purpose.

The Goal -- put Epstein behind bars, insure that he registers as a sɛҳuąƖ predator, and provide restitution to the victims.

The Federal Government and Acosta intervened when the State of Florida was going to let Epstein be freed without serving any time, nor registering as a sɛҳuąƖ predator. In addition, he would not have had to pay any restitution because the victims were too scared to testify against Epstein and in some cases were so psychologically traumatized that they supported Epstein.

Acosta recommends the NY Federal prosecution.

Regarding the Florida case, Acosta stated that letting Epstein walk without registering as a sɛҳuąƖ predator and without paying any restitution would have been a serious travesty of justice. Yet, this was what the D.A. of the State of Florida was advocating. This is why the Federal Government including Acosta intervened and forced the State of Florida to make a plea deal that required Epstein to serve time, to register as a sɛҳuąƖ predator, and to pay restitution.

Now that Epstein is a confirmed sɛҳuąƖ predator and has served time in prison, it will be much easier to convict him of these current charges.
