If the present year were 33 AD, some of you would be convincing us that the Resurrection was a fαℓѕє fℓαg, a psy-ops created by the Sanhedrin.

It’s a good thing to have been given the gift of supernatural faith.

I probably would have been a Doubting Thomas. I think about this sometimes because I’m skeptical towards most everything. At least I am initially. But most things that I believe come from the authority(or credibility) of someone else.

I’ve often wondered why Our Lord chose to enter into the world when He did and one of the reasons He did before our time is for the exact reason you bring up.

Thank God for the Apostles and the 500+ people St. Paul tells us that saw Him risen from the dead. Thank God for the martyrs and the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

to Simeon: I’m still digesting what you wrote and hope to formulate my thoughts soon. Thank you.

And I thank you, and look forward to hearing your thoughts! There's more to say on the three pillars and the hegelian dialectic, which I think ties in to where we are now and where they are planning to take us.

Our Lord has the kind habit of providing us with light in times of confusion and discernment. He speaks to us often through the readings for the day. Knowing Him as we do, today’s Epistle and Gospel cannot be taken for mere coincidence. It seems to me that they are a loud and clear message from Jesus Christ to His elect.

He is directing us to consider the events of last week through the prism of these particular passages from Scripture. The meanings here are His own instruction on the nature of what we’ve just been put through – and I think many would agree that they jump off the page.

The Epistle for today is 1 Cor 10: 6-13. I am going to quote from verse 1 to verse 15:

Quote
1 For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea. 2 And all in Moses were baptized, in the cloud, and in the sea: 3 And did all eat the same spiritual food, 4 And all drank the same spiritual drink; (and they drank of the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.)  5 But with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the desert.  6 Now these things were done in a figure of us, that we should not covet evil things as they also coveted.  7 Neither become ye idolaters, as some of them, as it is written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.  8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and there fell in one day three and twenty thousand.  9 Neither let us tempt Christ: as some of them tempted, and perished by the serpents.  10 Neither do you murmur: as some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.  11 Now all these things happened to them in figure: and they are written for our correction, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  12 Wherefore he that thinketh himself to stand, let him take heed lest he fall.  13 Let no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human. And God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able: but will make also with temptation issue, that you may be able to bear it.  14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, fly from the service of idols.  15 I speak as to wise men: judge ye yourselves what I say.

The Holy Gospel is St. Luke 19:41-47. I include verse 48:

Quote
41 And when he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it, saying:  42 If thou also hadst known, and that in this thy day, the things that are to thy peace; but now they are hidden from thy eyes.  43 For the days shall come upon thee, and thy enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and straiten thee on every side,  44 And beat thee flat to the ground, and thy children who are in thee: and they shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation.  45 And entering into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought.  46 Saying to them: It is written: My house is the house of prayer. But you have made it a den of thieves.  47 And he was teaching daily in the temple. And the chief priests and the scribes and the rulers of the people sought to destroy him:  48 And they found not what to do to him: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
