  • I saw a post on Facebook which contained this quote:

    Quote
...Our elected representatives must eliminate the individual mandate. No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to...

Is that what they call it -- the "individual mandate"? Mandate comes from the Latin "mandatum" which means "commandment". Wouldn't it be clearer if they called it the "individual dictate" or "individual commandment"? Doesn't it sound dictatorial for our so-called democratic government to be giving such strong commands concerning our private lives? Thou Shalt Have Health Insurance. Any government giving such "commands" to its citizens is certainly not governing a Land of the Free.
    Want to say "thank you"?

  • My grandparents had on health ins. and paid out of pocket. No problem.  My parents  had 9 of us kids and no health ins. except one did.  All paid for with cash terms.

    A gov't under control, communism.
