Cuomo is a married man (i.e., he is divorced only civilly) who is living openly with a woman he himself describes as his girlfriend. As a public adulterer by his own admission, he has excommunicated himself. End of story. Time to get on with life.

Albany's bishop, Howard "Old Mother" Hubbard, and the New York Archdiocese's chief stand-up comedian current ordinary, Timothy "Friend of Barack" Dolan, can ignore the situation as much as they want. They know the moral and disciplinary score, and so does Cuomo (a jerk and a sanctimonious phony he may be; a complete dope he's not).

I think he recently signed his own political death sentence.  "New York doesn't have room for extremists like right-to-lifers, the religious right, gun owners, conspiracy theorists, and homophobes."  Here, in the city, he just lost the support and $$$$$$ of religious Jєωs. When his father was governor, he was known as "that spoiled brat."
