  • It was just dumb luck that last night, in Ron Paul's only visit to Wisconsin, that I went to the Ron Paul speech last night, going all the way to Madison, with nearly 3,000 people there, I was one of the ones (along with 3 of my children) that got to shake his hand on his way out.

The enthusiasm there was wonderful. It was so nice to be around people that actually "get it" in a lot of ways. AP reports that mostly college students were there, but there were a -lot- of other age groups there. It was a very diverse age group in attendance. Breathtaking, actually.

I spoke with my mother this morning, and one of the things she pointed out was how there's such a clamoring from the Catholics regarding his stance on marriage.

This is really essential to understand. Are protestants really married? No. Not in the eyes of the Church. Who is really married? Catholics. How many Catholics have actual -valid- marriages? Not many.

We know, as Catholics, that the true definition of marriage is not what the world defines marriage as. Keeping that in mind, what the world defines marriage as, and what -we- define marriage as, are two different things.

Nothing the government says overrides what God says. God knows that marriage is a Sacrament. gαy people cannot get "married." Protestants, even if they -think- they're getting married, are not. But we live in a country where there is "freedom of religion" (which is basically freedom to rebel against God.)

Mitt Romney is a Mormon. He can't be married, and his religion espouses bigamy. Newt Gingrich has been "married" multiple times. Rick Santorum adheres to the "Church" who allows for all kinds of "annulments" to "valid" marriages. This whole thing is a gigantic MESS.

Instead of asking Ron Paul what he thinks on issues that MATTER, they try to corner him into some moral argument which he isn't really even qualified to argue since he doesn't believe in the Sacrament of Marriage. Instead of asking him questions that MATTER, about the thieving bankers, the fraudulent currency, the massive fraudulent debt, the overreaching of the Patriot Act, the NDAA, and other pertinent things, they distract from what's really going on, and ask him absolutely stupid questions like this.

I agree with Dr. Paul when he says that THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT BELONG in the question. Also, according to our "supreme law of the land" which is the Constitution, the government has as much right to be involved in Marriage as they do in any other Sacraments that Catholics have. To make a long story short, we don't want the government involved in any of this.

Since they do not see marriage as a sacrament, and as some "social institution," he says the Federal Government has NO BUSINESS in it -at all-. I agree with that, whether one defines marriage as a "social institution" or for the Sacrament which it is.

Why is this so hard to grasp?

Another thing I really don't understand is why people clamor over the fact that he feels drugs should be legalized. He doesn't like drugs. He doesn't like any of that. He believes that the federal government has NO BUSINESS in this issue. If the states want to make laws against this type of behavior, guess what, they have the authority to do so under the 10th Amendment of our "supreme law of the land." Why should the Feds be involved in this at all? They shouldn't be.

25% of people in this country are in jail or prison for a NON VIOLENT OFFENSE, and we're PAYING for it? Why? Because the Federal government has usurped the authority of the STATES to make laws regarding drugs. Just think about that. We have the biggest prison population PER CAPITA in the entire world, with only a fraction of the world population living in this country. Please explain why you feel it would be a good idea to continue this when if you do the math, how expensive it is to continue keeping these people in prison!?

Yes, we agree drugs are bad. But are we going to go the route of England and outlaw handguns because they kill people? Are we going to go the route of Ireland where guns and BASEBALL BATS are illegal because they can hurt people? It's not far fetched to believe at some point, scissors will be outlawed because people carry them point out and can poke someone's eye out! People need to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. A nation of too many laws, is not a FREE country anymore!

My girls made homemade signs and held them up. He smiled at my daughter as he walked by, tapping her cheek. Same one that was kissed on the head by Pat Buchanan in 2000 when he came to Green Bay. I was tickled. :)

Another thing I wanted to quickly say before I finish, is that the delegate numbers you're seeing now, DO NOT REFLECT REALITY. Some of these places won't be done tallying their actual delegate count until JUNE, so if you see a count, dismiss it as a LIE and INACCURATE. The establishment is shaking in their boots at Ron Paul, doing everything they can and playing all kinds of horribly dirty tricks to try to get the delegates to go a different way.

Being one of the ones that has been awake since high school, I say one more and I'll keep saying it.

Our only real choice this election, for anyone that is really awake, is RON PAUL. It might not matter, with the corruption of Washington in general in two of the most criminal bodies on the face of the planet (speaking of the CONgress and the Senate) but it's a good way to show these satanists who is boss and that he's getting resistance on the way to drag us all down.

The punishment is coming. Are you going to vote for the establishment and go down with a whimper, or are you going to FIGHT it and try to make a difference even though it might not do a thing?!

Throw your caution to the wind with your vote for pity's sake!

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • parentsfortruth,
I agree that Dr. Paul is the only one who can begin to get us out of the mess our country is in.

A clear sign to me that he would be able to accomplish at least part of his agenda is that the media is doing their best to ignore him.

  • It must have been a unique experience to meet him. How did he seem to you? Did he seem genuine?

  • What business does the central government have in regulating marriage when it is a matter that properly falls under the state's purview?  People who walk away from Ron Paul for these types of illogical objections are intellectually dishonest.

People, especially ersatz conservatives and ersatz Catholics, will not support Ron Paul because being free and having a mature understanding of liberty scares the daylights out of your basic corn fed American.

Our snouts are in the trough, we love war and Fox news,  and are scared to death of being called "anti-semetic".  At the end of the day we just want our mommy and the night light on, and good bedtime story. "Once upon a time some bad, bad Muslims who hate us beause of our freedoms, . . . . "

Look, the answer to the HHS mandate, war mongering for Israel, honesty money, rescuing the unborn, etc.,  is Ron Paul.  The novus ordo and a lot of pre-norvus ordo people, and especially the USCCB, have chosen to look the other way. See paragraph 3, "Our snouts are in the trough, ....."

I have voted for Ron Paul since I was in the Marine Corps and have not voted for a democrat or republican after I woke up around 1988 and realized that all of them are criminals, and yes that includes the venerable Ronald Reagan who should have been impeached for the deaths of 241 U.S. Marines in Beirut, Lebannon,  on October 23, 1983, as well as the whole stinking chain of command.

Remember, they hate us because of our freedoms; and God bless America.  (Can I say that?)

    Here's to "American Exceptionalism".

He did. He speaks his mind, and it's almost like he has no fear. It's genuine concern. :)
