  • Do you think that Marine Le Pen of the National Front has a chance to win the French Presidential Election next year?  She seems to be the only sane candidate over there.

Personally, I see her getting somewhere between a quarter and a third of the vote in the first round, which will be enough to get her through to the second.  In the second round, I believe she can only win if her opponent is Hollande.  If any other candidate gets through to the second round, Le Pen will lose.

On a related note, is it even proper to have a woman running for president, particularly one from a socially conservative and at least nominally Catholic political party?

  • She's bad news. Another "conservative" who openly flouts Church teaching.

  • Marine represents the new secularising wing of the FN, which seeks to adapt the party more to the demands of the massonist Republic of France, which is why her father, Jean-Marie, was shoved aside. She lives in concubinate with a Jєω, Louis Aliot. Florian Philippot, a sodomite, is also part of this lobby within the Front.

The old Front is represented factually by Marion Maréchal Le Pen, the granddaughter of Jean-Marie who visibly supports her. She is certainly not perfect, but she says that France must be Catholic, she is friendly towards Monarchy, and for as far as I know, she rejects the new rite of Mass.

Women in politics is a bad idea, it is needless to be said, but Maréchal has significantly increased in influence, rendering her the most influential political person who might, if she would be elected, actually destroy separation of Church and State in France, restore the Capetian Throne and call Louis Alphonse to ascend it. This places her in a special position, frankly. If I were a Frenchman, I would vote for her as the best choice.

  • Frankly I object to any man (women have no place in public life, if they ought to hold silence in the Church surely they, too, must hold silence and humbly obey, as Eve did Adam, in the world) playing any part in the politics of ''la Gueuse''. Surely by taking part in an election we admit of the blasphemous principle of democracy? That public opinion can determine right and wrong. Its evil would be plain to aIf a vote were taken in Papua New Guinea, a healthy majority would be returned in favour of cannibalism.

Reason even unaided by Revelation convicts democracy, convicts the Enlightenment, for what right has a rational being to believe, think or do that which reason proves to be false? Of course, Faith is  the consent of the will to a revealed truth, as it were, fallen from Heaven. Modernism and the lunacy of the modern world, of course, claim that one cannot know things truly, that there is no truth, that the reason cannot apprehend the true nature of things. Rot.
