https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/russia-recommends-fertilizer-makers-halt-all-exports?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=524

Update 1:25pm ET) - Those who have it, are no longer giving it away, and those that don't will soon find themselves in the middle of an epic food crisis.
Just hours after we reported that Russia effectively banned exports of fertilizers, moments ago Hungary - one of Europe's most grain rich nations - has circled the wagons and realizing which way the wind is blowing, just announced that it will banning all grain exports effective immediately, in a statement .
Expect wheat prices, already at record highs, to promptly double from here in the next few weeks as the world realizes the extent of the global food crisis that is coming.

Our suggestion: buy flour, rice, barley and any other grains you can now, rather than waiting one month to buy them because you have to.

  • Ukraine--Bread basket of the world, btw...

Anyone that cannot cook from scratch, or has picky eaters in the bunch, or relies on boxed or heavily processed foods is going to be in for a shock when they cannot find their box of chicken nuggets or other heavy-on-the-white-flour "convenience foods" in a short time...

Carb withdrawal for some people is going to be absolutely miserable if they have never fasted (or are lightweights at it), are used to snacking, or do not know what actual hunger signals are versus "carb cravings."

And any kids brought up on boxed foods are going to be CRANKY when they go through withdrawals...

  • It’s because they’re going to stockpile it for their own people, since they know that shortages are on the way.

Re: carb withdrawal.. do you mean starvation? Yes, starvation will cause mass ketosis- lol

Unfortunately flour has a shelf life and may only last 6 mos -1 year in a plastic bag or ceramic container. I suggest getting mylar bags and inserting oxygen absorbers for any lengthy storage of flour ( over a year).
