  • Just a reminder of what a complete phony Mitt Romney is. He's not getting my vote. Obama will win by default, and honestly, we deserve it. I prefer the faster propeller down, than the slower, more painful one.

    Flip floppin' Romney.

Will he stop abortion? You're kidding yourself.

    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

My Avatar is Fr. Hector Bolduc. He was a faithful parish priest in De Pere, WI,

I guess I look at it like this--do we elect a guy who flip flopped (and some could argue--could have had a revelation from God to inspire this) who  might not do as he says--but might

or do we support a man who WILL INCREASE and feed the culture of death and contraception.  I feel the Lord wants us to do whatever we can.  To not vote puts Obama closer to office again.

I don't get too mad at flip flopping--we pray that the pols are illuminated--maybe they are.

Do you really believe Romney won't do the same?

Obama and Romney are two sides of the same "democratic" uselss American coin. They are both equally detestable liars and charlatans.

What we need is the Church and Catholics start stepping up and hold all these politicians accountable and stop "compromising". But that's not going to happen right away. It needs to get a whole lot worse before it gets better, if you want to call it that.

Four Supreme Court Justices are 76 or older...the next President will likely appoint and steer the policy for the next 30 years.  If Obama wins, he gets to appoint two more dips like he already did--they have no morals at all.  If all the Catholics stay home we are complicit in not speaking for the unborn.

  • Pretty sure those supreme court justices will not step down until a decent president (if we ever get one again) is in there to replace them. Scalia and those guys, I mean. Thomas may seem conservative, but if you understand that he was a LAWYER for Monsanto at one time, you see that he has the same agenda as the rest. This is not a compelling enough argument for me, quite frankly.

Scalia, Kennedy, Breyer and Ginsburg (she's 80).  That means at least two who are conservative most of the time,  IF the new POTUS gets to replace Ginsburg--one less radical woman there,  Murder of kids is not compelling enough for you--I will pray you reconsider.  At least you can say you tried. Stay at home and you are just hiding behind the cross.

First of all, what makes you so sure that Romney would select an "anti-abortion" SCJ to begin with? What has he done for the unborn thus far? The guy has already stated that he's "Pro-Choice".

Another thing, sometimes it doesn't even matter anyway if you get "your-guy" in there, they seem to become polluted in their thinking over the course of time, perhaps from being bombarded by the illiberals and Judaics who constantly hound the court. If it comes down to another crucial vote on abortion, you just mught see another Roberts crossing the aisle like he did in Obamacare in order to not appear biased.

I truly believe the only way to save the unborn will be by the force of some kind of federal mandate, the Judicial system is so corrupt in this country it's hopeless.

    Like the political system.

There are no guarantees--but we KNOW how the current President  will appoint.

A "Federal" mandate--who is the Federal Govt?  The president, Congress and Supreme court. You vote for two  and hope the president does the right thing.

The Church teaches that we are only obliged to vote when there is a clear Catholic choice. Romney is not a clear Catholic choice.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

No "guarantees"? Then why the heck would I vote for the guy? Why would I be in his corner when I don't even know if he'll do the right thing?

Yes, I know what we get with Obama, at least these leftists Dems are up front on what they stand for and what their going to do when they get in office, usually at least, but these GOP so-called "conservatives" are full of it, their phonies who talk on both sides of their mouth as bad as any liberal democrat, even worse really, because they're supposed to be on our side to begin with.

Let's get something straight, Romney's a fake, a phoney, a fraud. He wants your vote mister/mrs Catholic conservative in order that he MIGHT be able to do something someday about all the baby-killing and queering of the American culture these days, but the reality is, he's not going to do nothing, it's just going to be status quo, babies will still be butchered wholesale, legally and daily, and ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs will still be marrying and adopting, legally and daily. nothing will change, except maybe for your tax return, but then again, when this frothing at the Mormon-mouth, Jєωιѕн-owned, Israel-firster decides to go to war with Iran in order to protect our closest "ally" over there, you can bet the govt will need even more tax dollars and young american boys that were not aborted to be used as cannon fodder for Israel's enemies.

A real conservative would  put America's interests first, not Israel's and a real conservative would stop all this infanticide insanity pronto, the minute he stepped into office. But Mitt Romney is not a real conservative or American firster, hell he's not even a Catholic, he belongs to one of the goofiest heretical offshoots that Christianity ever produced, those  people are borderline nutcases.

Mitt Romney is first and foremost a businessman and every decision he makes will be from an "economically viable" position. I know one thing, he will not turn back the clock and repeal Roe V Wade and will hide behind the Constituion or courts and declare his "helplessness" on the abortion issue like every other Republican before him.

Mitt Romney is not a traditional Catholic and not our friend, all he wants is your money and your vote, that's about it.

And I said "some kind" of Federal Mandate or something, and it won't come from either of these candidates, we need another system this one is broken, even the courts are not to be trusted as a matter of fact, the court system is the biggest obstacle to true democracy. how many times have people voted overwhelmingly against something like queer marriage or illegal immigration just to have some tyrannical liberal judge legislate from the bench and go against the will of the people?

Face it, you don't live in a "democracy" and your vote doesn't realy mean squat in this system. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but we really don't pick the next president. So I choose not to choose, I can live with that.
