Asked what he thought of Clinton’s comments to CNN, Trump gave a blistering reply, slamming Hillary for refusing to release the emails she sent on a private server as Secretary of State, and leaving a U.S. ambassador to die during a 2012 terrorist attack in Libya. Clinton told CNN that she was “very disappointed” in Trump for pointing out the devastating harm illegal immigration does to the U.S. — but not disappointed enough to return some $100,000 Trump donated to the Clinton Foundation.

I donate a lot of money to many different people, and many different foundations — but I’m disappointed in her. I’m disappointed that she didn’t give her emails. I’m disappointed that she was the worst Secretary of State in the history of the country. I’m disappointed at her — what happened in Benghazi and lots of other places during her term. I am disappointed in Hillary. During her tenure, I should say. But I’m disappointed in Hillary. So when she says she’s disappointed in me, I’m far more disappointed in her, and so is the American public.

“And I don’t think she will win the race. If I win, I will beat Hillary. And I believe I’m the only candidate that will be able to beat Hillary,” Trump added.

I'm not much of a Trump fan--I'm not even sure that I'll vote for him if he gets the nomination (which I still doubt he will). But I do like how he is riling up the left.

I can see myself abandoning the 2-party scheme in 2016. There are fewer possible nominees who can keep me from doing so than ones who would cause me to do so.

Donald Trump is a washed-up, largely-failed businessman using this political "campaign" to further whatever remains of his own business capital and that's it.

He will never win and if he did, he probably bought it through superPACs and the 1% bankers feeding American politics.

EDIT: And OP, just because he's #1 in the polls right now doesn't mean anything. This is still very early on in the campaigns and if this is anything like 2007 - where Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton were leading their parties' respective polls - the landscape will be very different this time next year.

This is the same guy who as of 2012 allows transgender males to participate in the Miss America and Miss Universe pageants, which he owns.

The idea of possibly for such a ~~man~~ person is unthinkable.

Of all the announced Republican Party candidates, the only ones that cannot beat the Democrat Party nominee (whomever she may be) are Jeb Bush and Chris Christy. All other announce candidates have a better than even chance of winning. Those two have zero chance of winning.

Which explains why the press is herding Republicans in that direction as much as possible, much like the constant hype they gave Romney from very early on last time around...
