With regards to having gone to the Moon -- that is debatable by quite a few (myself included), but I digress...
I would flip it around -- we can't even get voting right, so how could we have gone to the Moon?
Seriously, though, the biggest argument for "we never went to the Moon" is the argument of history. The handful of Moon Landings (1969 - 1972?) were a statistical anomaly, which havn't been duplicated in 45 years, not by the United States OR any of the other high-tech nations (Russians, Chinese, Europeans, India, Japan, etc.)
In statistics, when you have something so far above the "mean", you cross it out and don't include it. It is considered an aberration. If the Moon landing were for real, we certainly would be to Mars by now.
