    • Good for him supporting Trump, but he's still a Johnny-come-lately to the Trad world. I've been Trad about as long as he's been alive (I assume we're about the same age, if he graduated from college in 1999). Just saying.

    He has only been Catholic for 14 years.

    I guess you could say he's not my cup of tea.

    Thanks to Archbishop Vigano, he's coming closer to Tradition each day.  I don't resent those whom God brings into the vineyard for the last hour and then gives them equal pay.  We're all where we are by the grace of God, whether it was I becoming a Traditional Catholic 35 years ago or Marshall a Catholic of some kind 14 years ago, neither of us on our own merits but only by the grace of God.

    I should have been more precise. My actual criticisms of Marshall are:

    1. Failure to acknowledge the giants that came before him, who are still maligned by the Media and public opinion: +Lefebvre, +Williamson, etc. Marshall acts like he is a pioneer himself, or like he is one of the first men to re-discover Tradition.

    2. Does he name the Jєω, or call BS on the h0Ɩ0h0αx?

    3. I've talked about this before: why should converts, newbies, 11th hour workers RUN THE VINEYARD or BE THE PUBLIC FACE OF THE VINEYARD? The 11th hour guy gets a Denarius just like the 1st hour guy? Great. But how about we let the 1st and 3rd hour workers run and organize the vineyard operation -- they certainly know more about what is involved with running a vineyard, since they've spent a lot more time in it!

    • Let's put it this way:
    Take the case of a woman who was raised atheist, wallowed in sin and depravity, had several abortions, and finally converts at age 52 in a true conversion to the Catholic Faith and Tradition.

    GLORY BE TO GOD!

    But should she have her own TV show or high-profile video blog, and get tons of glory and publicity? Should she be a major teacher of men? Or should she do penance and hit the books, since she has a lot of catching up to do!

    She's still damaged goods, after all. I hope she saves her soul, I really do. But damaged goods is damaged goods.

    • Agree.  Marshall is well spoken but he's only popular because he's an "expert" compared to 1) your typical novus ordo-ite, who FINALLY sees the corruption of new-rome and is open to quasi-traditional ideas, 2) your typical indult TLM'er, which is mainly composed of a) families, who have no time to keep up to date on catholic news, b) young catholics who prefer the TLM and who grew up in novus ordo schools, learning nothing.
    .
    Basically, Marshall is the leader of the uneducated and busy families.  It shouldn't be that way, but I can see why.

    • Doctor Taylor Marshall has come a long way. Over the past year or so he has been coming closer to the Lefebvrist side of traditional Catholicism. Although it would be nice if he were to support His Excellency Bishop Williamson and confront the real enemies of the Church, he has to provide for his wife and eight children. If he were to get into a lot of controversy, it would make it really difficult for him to sell his books and make an income. He could get banned from Twitter, YouTube, Amazon, and even his bank.
