  • You would send them to face ISIS?
I like Trump's idea of creating a safe zone for them in Syria.  It's one of the reasons I voted for him.
Plus, it's their job to defend their own country.  It's our job to get out of their country.

Christians have an obligation to help those in dire need (persecution, homeless due to war or o ther...)

  • I would send the women and young children back to a secured area.  And the men, yes they can go back and fight ISIS and take part in the reclaiming and rebuilding of their own country.

Also, the article states some have been here for decades-- long before this episode began.

You might want to scroll back up and view the video posted by TrueCharity. It makes a complex explanation easier to grasp.

The good samaritan helped the stranded man and got him to an inn.  He didn't welcome him to marry his daughters.

  • Archbishop Alberto Ortega Martín, the apostolic nuncio to Iraq, has encouraged Christians who have fled Iraq to return to their native land, in order to be “the presence of Christ” there.
The Christian population has declined from 1.5 million in 2000 to 300,000 today.
Speaking in Rome about Iraqi Christians who fled the advance of ISIS, he said, “They left everything so as not to renounce their faith. I do not know of anyone who has given up the faith.”
“They are able to forgive those who drove them out, who hurt them,” he added. “They even pray for those who persecuted them so that they may convert and the Lord rule their heart.”

  • Iraqi’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that the nation’s army has achieved victory over the Islamic State in Mosul following a nine-month battle.
The future remains uncertain for the Christians who fled the city during ISIS’ 2014 conquest. Faraj Benoît Camurat, president of Fraternité en Irak, told La Croix that “we really don’t really know yet whether there are any Christian families who have resettled.”
“They have suffered great trauma and many still fear the presence of dormant jihadi groups in the city,” he added. “No one knows whether the families will be able to reclaim the land and houses expropriated by ISIS. The question they ask themselves now is whether they should return to Mosul or settle in another Christian town in Nineveh.”

  • I know this doesn't sound good, but if we don't destroy the Muslim religion, there will always be an ISIS or something like it

The Muslim religion is a religion w/o a savior, without Jesus

Jesus said that the way to Heaven, the way to God is through Him and only through Him. Until we understand that, we will endlessly fighting this beast

ISIS has lost a lot of ground in Iraq and Syria, including some major cities. Their leader is also dead. Their days are numbered.
The second Monday of October is Columbus Day, not Indigenous People's Day. Without Columbus discovering the Indies and giving them the True Faith, they would still be cannibals worshipping the Sun.

If we think that by destroying ISIS in those places we have solved the problem forever and always, well, i say that is naive. The enemy is not ISIS per se but ANTI-Catholicism

    sort of
the worst enemy of all is Satan, who laughs every day b/c he has so many who do not believe in him. It is not PC to believe in Satan but sometimes he seems more real than God or something... more real than Jn 4:8 anyhow ("God is love")

Our worst enemy is still us. If we ignore Satan and remain without sin then we are free. We can only fall into mortal sin if we cooperate with evilof our own will.

    good point.

the only thing I would add is this: the devil is more intelligent than we are. Some seem to be too proud to admit that but it is true. And he has obviously been around longer than any of us has.. which is scary to think about. I mean, he has had just SO SO long to ... perfect his game

he even seems to have taken over Jesus Christ's CHURCH of all things.

And yet, not realy b/c it has always been so that there are  only a few who REALLY take God and His Laws seriously---regardless of such things as Satan commandeering the Church
