  • If anybody is still disappointed that Kasich wasn't nominated, maybe this will be enough to ease your mind and forget his neocon @$$.

He STILL has not endorsed Trump, but thought it was "bizarre" that Trump had not endorsed certain candidates, including John McCain.  And he thinks John McCain should be in the Senate as long as he wants to be.

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/07/politics/john-kasich-donald-trump-election-2016/index.html?campaign_id=A100&campaign_type=Email

Kasich as much as anybody in America should understand what is at stake in this election in terms of gun rights, Justice and Judge appointments, etc. that Matthew nicely set out in his thread.  Yet he has not endorsed Trump even though he says that he expects Ohio (Kasich's state) to be close and go for Hillary.  What a p.o.s.

  • How many voters do you think care about who has or hasn't endorsed a candidate as they decide who they'll be voting for?

It has much more to do with their own careers than swaying potential voters. I don't blame anyone for not betting their political career on a Trump win.

I don't think Trump should be bashed for not endorsing every Republican either, but it would be nice if his decisions on that front were more principled and less personal.

  • Why would Kasich think it's bizarre that Trump hasn't endorsed McCain? He HAS endorsed McCain: http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/trump-endorses-paul-ryan-john-mccain-wisconsin-rally-n624076

Paul Ryan too. Total sellout to the neocons in my view.

     What a p.o.s.

An even bigger P.O.S. was Ted Cruz, and there were idiot Trads who inexplicably supported his CFR-@$$.

Actually, there are quite a few people who care about this--and they all work for news networks and newspapers.  Very few of them even know anyone who has ever voted for a Republican in their lives.

  • By the way, what is "p.o.s."?  When I looked it up on an internet jargon website, it says it means "parent over shoulder".  Clearly it has other meanings.

If they're in a mid-sized news market, the outer suburbs are all red. So they probably know Republicans.

  • Did anybody here actually want John Kasich to be president?
I apologize for all rude, calumnious, uncharitable, and unchristian posts I have made, and I retract them.

  • John Kasich always struck me as a milquetoast kind of guy.  Even less manly than Mitt Romney and Mr Romney was the designated fall guy in 2012.

Traditional Catholics are on their own in the political arena.  If you like big government (if we were a pre-Vatican II Catholic monarchy then we all probably would) then you have to compromise on all the social issues and taxpayer money being funneled to abortion providers and if you like small government the same issues apply because the Republicans are playing the pro-lifers for suckers, an example is that during the Bush years almost 2 billion dollars was funneled through side doors and trap doors and general allowances to the abortion industry worldwide.  Stepping aside from the abortion issue, the Republicans would like their traditional base to just chill out on gαy marriage and the acceptance of all the other social ills that would spell mortal sin to a Traditional Catholic.

  • Kasich completely crashed and burned because he was in a non-Trump year. Did anyone expect Trump to do this well? I kinda expected Jeb Bush because of neocon legacy sorta but he's a f%*#&@ human sedative.

  • Kasich is a nobody. He's a eunuch and supporter of the status quo - which is continuous wars, progressive erosion of culture and morality, continuous erosion of our borders and national sovereignty, and looking out for Wall St. and The Fed above all else. He's also a sickly man, unbeknownst to other people. He doesn't have a lot of time on this earth. He had no business running for president.

Who cares what that nobody does or doesn't do...
