  • The reprobate Governor of California might commute the death penalty for all those on Death Row. In fact, he could free all those in prison, including the infamous Scott Peterson who murdered his pregnant wife and then dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay.

Just prior to a communist revolution, it has been a practice to free all prisoners so that they can help the communist revolution by causing wide disorder and panic. Is this the plan in the Communist state of California? Will all the state prisoners be set free in a state with heavy gun control so that the people cannot defend themselves? Lord have mercy.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/08/31/will-jerry-brown-commute-sentences-every-death-row-inmate-in-one-his-last-acts-as-california-governor.html

    ...

On March 28, [2018] California’s Supreme Court issued an administrative order making it possible for Brown to commute the sentences or grant clemency.

Michele Hanisee, president of the Association of Deputy District Attorneys in Los Angeles County, told the Orange County Register earlier this week that this removes any impediment Brown may have faced. Before that, a governor had to get the approval of the majority of the state Supreme Court in the case of an inmate with two or more felony convictions.

“They basically have green-lighted the governor to grant clemency to anyone…and said they won’t interfere,” she said.  ...

    Lord have mercy.

  • Some of the individuals on California's Death Row:

Top row, left to right: Run P. Chhoun; Scott Peterson; Richard Farley; Randy Kraft.
Bottom row, left to right: Ramon Salcido; Charles Ng; Marcus Wesson.

    Lord have mercy.

  • I side with Church teaching, for capital punishment.  That is why a priest, ordained with sacraments, went to the prisoner for confession and said prayers as the convicted one went to the gallows/electric chair.

  • Adultery, sodomy, murder, bestiality and many other crimes should be punished with death by a righteous state.

per accidens only of course ... i.e. not as a result of Catholic principles but because Texans simply relish stringing people up.   :laugh1:

Oh I thought of that already --
It's just that Texas has more of that Catholic sense left over, filtered through Protestantism (100 years ago they still had a lot of common sense about morality and so forth).

  • Seriously, anyone committing capital crimes in Texas is EXTRA-STUPID.
Criminals are always stupid. But if you are going to murder, rape, or any of that -- doing it in Texas is just going to get yourself killed.
If the homeowner doesn't shoot you dead first (because Texans love guns, and can own a gun without ANY permit, and Castle Doctrine), you're going to end up getting arrested and sent to death row, where they WILL execute you. This isn't a bleeding heart liberal state.

Like Ladislaus said (in so many words), Texans love 'em a good hangin'!

    Interesting line of questions?
    Normal?
    Military Law v. Criminal Law.
    Think EO.
    Think HRC panic.
    Do you believe in coincidences?
You have more than you know.
    Q

HRC - Mrs. Clinton - must be shaking in her boots.
If she is convicted of high treason, she could be put to death by a military court for the 2012 Benghazi attack.
She was liable; people were killed; she failed to warn them in a timely manner.
    Lord have mercy.

  • If you have another option that I did not post, please feel free to do so.

The murderer of St. Maria Goretti was allowed to retire to a monastery upon his release from prison.
There he spend his final days in prayer and repentance for the horrific deed he committed in murdering this pure virgin.

In this case, it was appropriate that he be spared the death penalty.
    Lord have mercy.

  • I think there should be another option, but I don't know how to word it briefly. I think that, in crimes of passion, a murder could happen, and life imprisonment is probably the best way.

I believe in capital punishment in certain particularly gruesome,  premeditated, obviously satanic cases.

For example, there was a woman in a town nearby, a professional butcher in a local factory, who served up her defacto as a meal, to his children. This is the horrendous thing I could ever imagine.

Also for serial abortionists, who according to the law, are not even criminals.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.
