    The quotes are from Business Insider. It does not appear to be science fiction.

    So someone just gave me a down-vote, and I would like to know why.
    What upset you so much that you had to act out?

    I have a strange feeling that if other women and I left this board along with quite a few males,
    then the only active people left would be Matthew and all of Croix's reincarnations.

    • Last night, I watched a movie from 1971 that predicts the coronavirus.  The movie, staring Charlton Heston, is The Omega Man.  

    The movie is about a global pandemic caused by a Chinese disease released as biological warfare that got out of hand during a Sino-Soviet border war.  The disease caused most of those infected to die but those who survived became almost zombie-like freaks who follow the leadership of a famous television news reporter.

    Given what we've seen with coronavirus, except for the deaths, the movie exactly what is happening now.  A disease came out of China (possibly as a result of a biological warfare exercise), the media is whipping up an hysteria that is completely unwarranted, people are turning into zombie-like freaks hell bent on stocking up on toilet paper and paper towels, and any business that results in the congregation of more than 250 people are shutting down for the forseeable future.

    • FYI: Found out from my mom today (who's in her 60's) that there is a St. Corona, a martyr.  Guess what she's the patron saint of?  

    Plague and epidemics.

    • Stocking up is a good idea.  Lockdowns are imminent.  We are about 2 weeks behind Italy.  China was able to get things under control by heavy-handed tactics that western countries won’t be willing to implement.  I expect Europe and the Americas to have a worse outcome than China.  The only way to avoid becoming a statistic is to stay away from people.  This virus is much more contagious than flu and it is more deadly too.  Smart people are stocking up so that when they get locked down for a few weeks they won’t go hungry.

    After you get stocked up then you can debate with yourself whether the virus is a hoax or the government is covering up the severity of it.
