    It may just be a statement of fact.  Regardless of whatever irregularities might have existed in the popular vote in various states, the Electoral College cast a majority of the votes for Biden.  In theory, a state legislature could entirely ignore the popular vote, and appoint whatever electors it wished.  And there is always the possibility of "faithless electors".

    I will retract my statement if it is indeed false.  I should have checked it out first.

    • I didn't watch the video but yes, it depends on how you understand the terms. After the steal, he still only barely lost. They only stole enough electoral votes to swing the result. That could easily be what he means by that statement.

    This is why we need primary sources when people make such claims... what Trump said is exactly how I would've said it, got more votes than when he won in 2016 and 'lost by a whisker' supposedly... it's clearly a type of sarcasm... because while you may not be able to conclusively prove everything (it's also a long story)... we all know the 2020 election was rigged in many ways. It's also something that Lex Fridman was not ready to hear so you could only drop hints which is what he did... Hence the push to go back to voter ID, same day voting and paper ballots... If they thought Trump lost fair and square there would be no need to push for cleaning up the electoral process.

    The only reason Trump won in 2016 IMO was because they were so over-confident with the propaganda etc that they didn't think Trump could win, hence they did not put their thumbs on the scales as much (as RFK Jr has also mentioned, there have been problems for a long time), unlike in 2020 with covid and massive changes like mail in ballots etc. Thus it needs to be too big to rig and watch them closely... set some traps for them. The more people vote for Trump the more they have to put their thumbs on the scales and the more obvious it becomes and the easier it is to expose them for all the world to see.

    Yeah, after watching it again, I think his facial expression while saying "lost by a whisker" gives the impression that he wasn't conceding anything. Yes, it's true he said it, but it is important to consider how he said it.

    I watched the full thing, Lex Fridman leaded in by insinuating that he didn't believe it was stolen per se so there would've been no point trying to argue it out with him IMO... what classifies 'stolen' exactly? The laptop, the propaganda, social media etc... personally I would focus on the mail in ballots as 'stolen' as that's above and beyond, but the other stuff also still counts to a certain degree... nevertheless, it's not something I think Lex Fridman was particularly open to, so dropping the hints like Trump did was good IMO.

    2020 Election Lex Fridman: Tough topic, but important. You said, “Lost by whisker.” I’m an independent. I have a lot of friends who are independent, many of whom like your policies, like the fact that you’re a deal maker, like the fact that you can end wars. But they are troubled by what happened in the 2020 election and statements about widespread fraud and this kind of stuff.

    Donald Trump: I think the fraud was on the other side. I think the election was a fraud. And many people felt it was that and they wanted answers. And when you can’t challenge an election, you have to be able to challenge it. Otherwise it’s gonna get worse, not better.

    Election Integrity and Immigration Crisis Donald Trump: And there are lots of ways to solve this problem. Go to paper ballots, do it the easy way. I mean, the paper ballots and you have voter ID and you have same day voting and you have proof of citizenship, which is very important because we have people voting that are not citizens.     It's pretty clear he still believes the election of Biden was a fraud.

    And he answers this in the debate.  He said he was being sarcastic....and then he went full throttle on the fraudulent 2020 election.

    Something I found weird, was it's like Kamala hαɾɾιs was reading these forums in preparation and used many of the points other posters here have used against Trump... that was very weird... because of course, she knows Pro-lifers aren't likely to vote for her, she just needs Pro-lifers to get cold feet regarding Trump for example, to divide and conquer his base of Pro-lifers.

    Same thing with those of us who know 2020 was rigged in many ways... she isn't likely to get their vote, but she can use such things to try and divide Trumps base, if you thought Trump came around on the 2020 rigging thing, then shouldn't you be happy?

    The other lies too were off the charts... It was rather surreal IMO as I would've wanted to just say halfway through, who are controlling you 3? And why aren't I debating them? I mean, I'm pretty sure I remember watching video of Kamala once saying she liked the Australian buy-back scheme so what is she talking about and why can't she be honest? Likely because they have all the data mining and spyware and so they already know where most people stand on particular issues so she has to change all the time based on that data hence not being a real person.
