All hint at cannibalism being the only source of food in a global SHTF scenario.

I could easily imagine Planned Parenthood executives selling their butchered parts to Monsanto "food" processing plants to give us Matrix-like gruel for food.

In a global (or even extended national/regional grid-down situation), cannibalism will be the primary threat.  To prevent against it, you will need a well-prepared group, well stocked, well trained, and with hydroponic, horticultural, and agricultural skills.

PS: Soylent Green and The Road are movies containing rank immodesty.  I would advise against seeing them if you have not already.

Maria, I am curious as to what that insect dish was. I do like middle eastern food, and I've never heard of Lebanese eating insects.

Cannibalism is not only digusting and repugnant to all normal people, but gravely sinful, of course.

However you cannot say the same for eating insects, which while not for me,  is nothing to be compared with cannibalism.
