  • I haven't been able to follow news lately.

So  I wonder what is going on/ not going on w/ healthcare

I think Price was shown the door b/c he wasn't really a conservative vis a vis healthcare in the US, not that what he allegedly did w/ the taxpayer's money (for planes) is insignificant...

  • Evidently, the Trump administration is in the beginning stages of implementing many changes in the health care/insurance industry that ObamaCare leaves in the hands of the regulators.

After campaigning for eight years to repeal ObamaCare, the Republican Party could not muster even a simple majority vote to do what they have promised to do since ObamaCare was passed because, as a Party, they really don't want to change.  John McCain would not support even modest changes because he wants to thwart anything that might be good.  Rand Paul would not support anything other than a perfect bill, so he is willing to keep the status quo rather than even incrementally roll back ObamaCare which is exactly like not voting to restrict some abortions because the bill doesn't restrict all abortions.

  • The saga continues, a program to induct more consumers into the system and extract more money from them and from the Government. Insurance is a Jєωιѕн inspired racket where an elite skim large profits without contributing or creating anything.
This industry is  much too big and powerful for any govenrnment to control or reform it in any meaningful way, and they write any legislation which pertains to them so the results are always fixed beforehand.

And it it is to their benefit to leave it untouched because almost every politician recieves large sums from the industry and its lobbies. Whatever does happen, one can rest assured that it will be of benefit to the insurance and Pharma industries.

  • yeh, anyone who watches the news every day is going to be disillusioned... cynical to the core

I just wonder if it is possible to get to straight repeal? I know they tried that but

well I wonder why Dems want to keep O/care knowing how bad it is for most Americans? That just shows you they couldn't care less about the little people.. not that we needed a reminder

they won't work w/ Trump just b/c he is Trump.. just b/c he is a R (mostly R, whatever... some don't want to consider him one. I say it is the rinos in Congress who are fake Rs or no Rs.. but anyhow)

Trump said on Fox today that O/care subsidies were just subsidies for the insurance companies.

I really believe (am I naïve?? ) that Trump cares about the common people.

I just wonder how many others in DC do... I dont know what to make of Rand b/c... I mean we can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good and yet... If he believes we can some day get to Repeal only, then I say Go for it. I don't see how that's going to happen with the hard-headed, dontCareAbout the American people Democrats... but

geez.... I want to pull out my freaking hair sometimes

  • they should just REPEAL

    get rid of it

if for no other reason than it has HIS name on it!!!!!

no, I am not racist. I just don't like the last president, don't like his communist leanings and etc...

not that I care if anyone calls me Racist. so boring, the liberals call anyone Racist if the person disagrees w/ their lib-ness... what idiots.

    anyhow... where was I?

yeh, repeal and then make laws that protect the consumer from greedy insurance companies and hospitals
