  • Wow, Vigano is making good progress towards becoming a full Trad bishop...

    And I mean with a capital T.

Seriously -- has he already passed up Bishop Fellay? The neo-SSPX is allergic to appearing "strange" or adhering to "conspiracy theories" (even though this is a CIA term made up to smash truth-lovers).

Vigano seems more like Bishop Williamson than Bishop Fellay.

Yes, it appears with quotes such as the one below, that the Archbishop has surpassed Bishop Fellay and the rebranded SSPX. Based on what I see of the SSPX as an organization, it is part of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr.
"It appears today that the Holy See is being assaulted by enemy forces. I speak as a Bishop, as a Successor of the Apostles. The silence of the shepherds is deafening and upsetting. Some bishops even prefer to support the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr, aligning themselves with the positions of Bergoglio and Cardinal Parolin who, as a frequenter of the Bilderberg Club, has slavishly submitted to its diktats, like so many politicians as well as the mainstream media. "

I hadn't thought about much before, but yes, Vigano does sound more like +Williamson than + Fellay. I was worried that +Vigano was aligning himself with the SSPX, but now I don't think so.

The SSPX wouldn't likely want to work with any bishop who explains the dangers of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr.

"has he already passed up Bishop Fellay?" - Oh yes, some time ago.

Vigano is more of a Traditional Catholic than Fellay at this point.

Indeed.  Something like this was alluded to months ago.

I would not be surprised if soon it was announced that he is joining the SSPX (more infiltration).

He's probably way too outspoken against Francis for the SSPX to let him join.

Indeed.  When Bp. Lazo converted to Tradition, the SSPX was all over it.  Has anyone noticed that the SSPX never speaks of Archbishop Viganò?   [Or please post if they have.]  Back in their heyday, the SSPX would have been so glad to have a like-minded ally with someone like +Viganò.  But today, as Meg said so well, "The SSPX wouldn't likely want to work with any bishop who explains the dangers of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr."

Well, to be honest, I have often been critical of +Vigano until now regarding his media connections to Opus Dei, and his reported statement (not confirmed) about the SSPX saving the Church.

But neither of the two organizations above would want to deal with someone like +Vigano. It's interesting that +Vigano is very much concerned about the U.S. presidential election, since he's concerned that democracy will be no more if Biden wins. Which makes sense.
