The French Revolution was like a lot of historical revolutions: more revolting  than beneficially revolutionary. Priests were murdered by the revolutionaries. The murderers remind me of the protesters of today, except that today they know they will get put in prison if they actually kill someone. 

Anyway, Bastille Day 1793 ( i think that is the right year?) should be considered a sad, pathetic thing, a part of our past we will only remember so that it does not, in any form, happen again

It's nice to hear someone with a modicuм of sanity in this topic. Everything I've heard on the radio the past few days regarding the "Storming of the Bastille" (a.k.a. "Bastille Day") has been sentimental, sappy, wistfull and mild, as though it deserves some kind of happy memory -- along with their references to the French Revolution.

It's as thought there is a worldwide cloud of not knowing about the historical reality that these constitute. The French Revolution was an abominable outrage in the face of God, which could have been averted had the French King consecrated France in a public ceremony, to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as He requested through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and Blessed Claude de la Colombiere, her confessor. But you won't hear that in the MSM to be sure.

And the so-called storming of the Bastille was their poster/media event, funded by the Freemasons, to get it all started.

English poet William Wordsworth was an early supporter of the movement that became the French Revolution. Born in 1770, he was young enough to have been impressionable. One commentary about him says, although he abandoned his desire for political change as the French Revolution turned bloody, he was able to bring about revolutionary changes in British literature. That's a curious way of saying that the French Revolution wasn't violent from the very beginning.

This is relevant for today, because while the Liberals in America use vitriolic and hateful language toward our President, Donald Trump, and everything politically conservative, almost in the same breath, they claim it's a so-called peaceful protest. Well, we've already seen how such nonsense is perceived by some or perhaps many, when a lone gunman opened fire at a baseball practice field where US Congressmen were preparing for their annual fund-raiser ball game. And then to top it off, this abominable eye-opener has not made one modicuм of difference, because the hate-monger Liberals have continued, nay, all the more so have escalated the hateful rhetoric against President Trump as evidenced by the fact that now they are seeking dirty laundry and calumnies against everyone in his FAMILY.

Meanwhile, 16 US military service men died in a tragic "peacetime accident" and it doesn't even make the headlines.

If I had my head in the sand, I'd say we are not on the verge of another Bastille day, this time on our own soil.
