Also, departments have budgets. Every dept. uses resources that aren't used for lots of things. So what? Despite what the world says, we can't "...do, be and have it all." That lie is part of why many our kids have no parents to speak of and end up, for example, being sex offenders, and other darlings of the justice system so-called.
the allegation is that in order to pursue his Immigration priorities Sheriff Joe Arpaio took the manpower and resources that would have been investigating sex crimes and used them for his other priorities. It appears that during his tenure there was no investigation of sex crimes in Arpaio's jurisdiction during his tenure.
he also took those same resources (deputies) that could have been investigating at least some of the sex crimes that were perpetuated in his jurisdiction and flew them at taxpayer expense to Hawaii to search for Obama's birth certificate.
