  • I really miss John Paul II and Mother Teresa. I took them for granted when they were alive, and deeply regret that. Now I revisit their lives and works nearly every day.

I am so happy to have Pope Benedict, a man who is really trying to DO something about the problems in our Church.
In 2005 he gave us the "Instruction Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocation with regard to Persons with ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ Tendencies in view of their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders".

In 2007, he gave us Summorum Pontificuм. I thank God & Pope Benedict for that every day. We now have a choice whether to attend a Liturgy that the Pope, Himself delared "Banal & manufactured" or the TLM.

This past year, He lifted the excommunications of the SSPX Bishops. Come on..........if we're going to talk "ecuмenicism" shouldn't it begin with the SSPX. Or is it reserved for the Anglicans, Lutherans, etc.

Just this past month, he publically called for an end to blaming the Jєωιѕн Nation of yesteryear, today & tomorrow, for the death of Christ. Christ came into this world to DIE & he did so for the sins of all mankind.

He bacame pope in 2,005........&, while his achievemenrts seem slow, by Vatican time, they are coming fast & furious. For the past 6 yrs. it almost seems like he's aware of his age & the few years he has left. He's trying to make so much happen & being persecuted by some of his "own" within the Vatican.

His appointment of Opus Dei Archbishop Jose Gomez to the Los Angeles Diocese, replacing the Cardinal that built the ornate MONSTROSITY that I call  the Taj Mahoney & he calls a Cathedral..........that should be quite interesting to follow.

So, no.........I haven't had time to miss Pope John Paul II, as so much has been happening. I believe that he was a holy man, a good man, a VERY charismatic man. As for his papacy, I wish that he'd not ignored some of the abuses that were going on.......in the Liturgy, the priesthood & in the Pastoral responses of the American Hierarchy.

You're not holy if you encourage non-catholics to worship their devil gods! You cant be holy if you're endorsing the violation of the 1st Commandment.

  • This is not a champion among threads, is it?
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

And the whole people (meaning the Jєωs) said in reply, "His blood be upon us and upon our children. Matthew 27:24–25)

The Apostles & disciples present called for no such curse. Christ did not curse the Jєωs, they called down God's wrath upon their own nation.

Are you saying that the followers of Christ do what He, Himself, did not. His words were "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do?"

As you pointed out, the Jєωs cursed themselves with blood guilt, and they still do to this very day through their religion and cultural identity. Need I elaborate?

And what is it you suggest we would "do what He did not"? Im curious.

  • So the Church was wrong for 2000 years but now they finally got it right.

I think the curse against the Jєωs was NOT because they were responsible for His death, we all were after all; but because they who had the True Faith denied  Jesus when He came.  He was too poor for them, they wanted a powerful, wordly Savior.  Their Messiah came and they know it, their stiff necks and pride won't allow them to face the truth.  If these current VII "popes" were true, they would tell them that, as the popes have always told them in the past.

It was the Romans that actually nailed Our Lord to the Cross, therefore in my mind, I believe those words "Father forgive them for they know not what they do", were meant for them.  The Jєωs knew what they were doing, because they were under the Law and they had the prophesies, studied them and knew them, prophesies  that Jesus Christ fulfilled.

    Please pray for my soul.
