I disagree. I think the "smart" people - the sophisticates, the cognoscenti - will be among his most devoted followers. The simple, faithful people will be the ones who see through him.

I think the smart proud people will be swayed and will not recognize the Anti-Christ. Knowledge has nothing to do with this, it will be the meek, the humble and grace filled that will recognize the Anti-Christ.

I remember Fr. Denis would say, when Anti-Christ comes he won't be wearing 666 stamped on his forehead.

I also don't remember reading in the Bible that he will be Jєωιѕн per se but he will be descended from the tribe of Dan. That could almost mean anyone, since the tribe of Dan is a lost tribe and who knows by this time who can trace their roots through that tribe.

Yes, I remember reading that his mother is to be a virgin, could be maybe this person will be a clone. lol! (No soul)

In Cardinal Manning's book, The Pope and the Anti-Christ, he says that the Fathers including St. Irenaeus, St. Jerome, St. Hippolytus, St. Ambrose, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, St. Ephrem, St. Gregory nαzιanzen, St. Gregory of Nyssa, St. John Damascene, St. Augustine, St. Gregory the Great, and St. Robert Bellarmine believed that the anti-christ will be of the Jєωιѕн race and from the tribe of Dan.
