Pro-Life Catholic William Pryor was one of the best (he openly called Roe v. Wade an "abomination) from Trump's last 4 picks last time, and Barrett the best from Trump's last 2 this time. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are ok, but they are already compromise picks because Republicans still fear Murkowski, Collins, and 1 or 2 others, will torpedo the nomination if the nominee does not give at least a vague or equivocal answer on Roe v Wade. This is priority 1 of what has to change in November. 33 (+2 special election) seats are up for grabs in the senate. Only 9 of that are Republican. If republicans manage to win 18 out of 35 seats, they will reach the coveted 60 Senate seats required to break filibuster. That should be the long term goal. For now, republicans should move to confirmation quickly.
They have the votes. Pence can be a tiebreaker if necessary. Senate Judiciary committee should begin the process immediately.
Otherwise, false accusations will keep on coming. As others have said, the Dems are playing for time and hoping for a delay.
