I'm afraid klas is right.  Catholicism, even basic adherence to Natural Law has a better chance in the former Soviet bloc nations than in the so-called Democratic or Socialist nations.  Sharia Law is not yet in the US.  We're still in the Socialist verging on Communist phase.  Sharia Law does indeed reign in many parts of what used to be free Europe.  Just try strolling in parts of London, Paris, Marseille, Stockholm...These countries are soon to be dictatorships.  
We used to have the Right to Life party in New York.  Now, it isn't recognized or even on the ballot.  
Yes, Catholics should vote if they can and participate in politics if they are able to effect for good, but politics provides no lasting solution.
If just 10% of Catholics would dedicate themselves to prayer and penance, I believe some changes would come to our nation.

Yes, a Traditional Catholic Political party.    The Novus Ordo is the problem that've are dealing with in American politics.  If  Supreme Court justice NO Kennedy  , voted against same sex marriage , we wouldn't have the trouble we are now facing.  Then we have NO Nancy Peℓσѕι, NO Tim Kane and republicans are just as bad with NO Paul Ryan.  Now we are faced with a NO socialist Catholic.  And locally, many liberal NO Catholics on local government levels.    And the Pooe Francis and his liberal theology
