THAT'S when Texas Governor Abbott panicked and declared masks to be mandatory across the state of Texas.

In many other Republican-led states, masks still aren't mandatory, and/or they are opening up. Any "surge" in Texas is being caused by A) antibody testing, which tracks PAST-TENSE infections of ALL coronaviruses, not just COVID-19 and B) Mexicans coming across the border when they get sick, because their health care is 3rd world pathetic and USA kicks @$$ in health care as in many other things.

Why can't Abbott attack the real problem? Why screw around with silly masks which EVERYONE (especially health care professionals) KNOWS DOESN'T WORK? It's a psy-op. And Abbott is part of it.

Guess what? That's two strikes for that clown. (I can't remember the exact specifics of the first one, but I think it was also COVID related). I'm voting for the other guy whenever Abbott comes up for re-election. And yes, even if that means voting for a democrat. You literally couldn't get a worse governor than this clown! Any democrat couldn't be worse, and heck, he might be better!

What about writing in someone instead, even if you write in yourself. At least you would be voting for the best candidate. 

Do you really believe that the principle of double effect would allow voting for a pro-abortion Democrat?  Can there be any comparison in terms of proportionality between abortion and being forced to wear masks?

It depends on how well you understand the evil of what They are doing with these masks... training us as sheep, for blind obedience to the Communist state, including forced vaccinations, a Totalitarian state, suppression of churches and worship, and more.

Abortion doesn't affect *everybody*. This psy-op does. And where is it leading us? To even worse evils, like a "One Child Policy" and forced abortions.

I don't approve of Abortion of course, but at least right now Catholics and others can opt-out of the evil. In a hellish dystopia where we become another Communist China, that won't be the case.

If guys like Abbott are on the Deep State side, working for the Sixteen Year Plan, they must be cast out at all costs -- even if we have to deal with an "unknown" instead.

And if the Democrat is just as bad, then what have we lost? Nothing. No point in voting in such a case.

But I'll tell you one thing: never again will I vote for a Romney, Bush, or McCain. Those (R)s are every bit as bad as Obama, Clinton, or the rest of them. They have just as many skeletons in their closets -- and I'm talking "child sacrifice", "Moloch worship" kind of skeletons. Bush was a member of the Skull & Bones cult, for crying out loud! Remember Bush Sr.'s speech literally calling for a nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr?

If you're Deep State, you don't get my vote, period. 

It seems to me (not necessarily about the specific issue of Gov. Abbott and his would-be-Democratic-opponent) we've to make a distinction between being a pure Marxist, hardcore extremist, radical leftist in evil, and a somewhat weak or wishy washy but still well intentioned candidate who is conservative and leans toward traditional and pro-life values. If I had a scale from -100 to +100, the one would be like -95 - excellent in doing evil, very dangerous to all patriots and all who love God and humanity. The other may not be as proficient in doing good as this person was in doing evil; he is imperfect, less than good, but still good, and on the positive scale, like, maybe a +65. Where I see the issue (at least in the general Presidential election) is the +65 and the -95 are being treated as if they are virtually identical, when in fact they are dramatically different. I would rate Candidate Biden at -100 and President Trump at +95 in that.

Republican governors are also susceptible to pressure in this type of political climate. They may give in to fears that they might not otherwise do. They are, after all, politicians.

Just because masks are required in a particular state, it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone has to, or is going to comply. In my state, for example, the idiot liberal governor, Jay Inslee, has mandated masks in all public areas, but it's only in the liberal areas where citizens are complying. My husband and I drove over to the conservative side of the state a few days ago (eastern WA), and less than half of the people there were wearing masks out in public, including inside the grocery stores. They just didn't seem care about paying attention to Inslee's "ordinance," regarding masks. I was very happy to see that.

I'm sorry to hear that there is 100% compliance in your part of Texas. Maybe that will lessen, over time.

Actually, the area in eastern WA where we were has a lot of German descendants. The tiny little town there that we like is called "Krupp." And the nearby town of Odessa has an annual German fest every year. A nice desert area. I'd like to think that the German Americans there aren't so compliant, for some reason. But then, it is out in the middle of nowhere.

Being part Irish is always a good thing. Non-compliance is just part of that heritage.

But what is Abbott's problem? what is his game? Is he trying to unseat Trump by keeping the economy down, the panic up, etc.? Is he Deep State? Is he part of The Swamp?

Is he so liberal/PC that he won't acknowledge the REAL problem -- illegal and other mass immigration from Mexico to get to our good hospitals for COVID treatment, which is causing the recent "surge" in Texas? He is using masks as a placebo and a scapegoat. But he's still dishonest and playing games like a Swamp creature.

If he IS deep state, then yes I won't vote democrat but I'll write-in Mickey Mouse or something, EVEN IF THAT MEANS, DE FACTO, THAT THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE ENDS UP WINNING.

I won't waste my vote by voting for beelzebub instead of satan. It's six of one, half-dozen of the other.

Because in my book, there is NO DIFFERENCE between Deep State and Deep State. Abortion is only *one* of the evils propagated by Satan's side, also known as the Deep State. Those who want the Sixteen Year Plan (a.k.a. "hell on earth" according to any Catholic) want Abortion and countless other evils for Americans.

Who even knows anymore?  In Ohio we have DeWine, who's supposedly a devout Catholic (and has had 8 children) ... but he appointed this nasty female dog who is openly pro abortion as the Health Director.  DeWine has been at the forefront in the nation of shutting things down and has allowed this Dr. Quackton (Acton) to control Ohio.  This DeWine-appointed Quackton shut down almost everything but obtained an exemption for some abortion clinics to keep operating.
