Perhaps there is a translation problem. A chronic disease is, by definition, not communicable. Therefore there is NO SUCH THING as "carriers of chronic diseases." It almost like the media dissemination of this quote is an attempt to create a SCAPEGOAT out of older and or persons with pre-existing heath concerns.

Bottom line is this. Older people and those with heart and lung problems are more susceptible to this disease.
So this "doctor" who says only two otherwise healthy people have died is dismissing the seriousness of the deaths of the elderly.
Those who continually cling to this hope probably are not aware of how selfish and self-centered they sound. It's as if they're thinking along the lines of Oprah who said "All we need is for the old white people to die." It's as if they are thinking. "I'm good. Who cares if others die?"

Here is my take: When you consider how dense New York state (especially NYC), California, and Illinois are, a total quarantine makes sense in those places only.

Other states would not need to. Not at all. If people use common sense and exercise caution when needed, we will be just fine as a country.

Nota bene: avoid mainstream media during this time. They are giving us OBJECTIVELY false information right now, including scaremongering tactics by spitting numbers in our faces. It's asinine.

The total as of yesterday had blown past 8000. Just a few days ago, it was hardly past 4000. The days since have not seen 1000+ death totals; more like 500 to 700. Maybe I am just losing track of time, and I certainly don't follow it that closely, but it seems as if the total numbers given could probably be (easily?) proved to be greater than the total if one added all of the daily numbers given of late.

This whole thing fails more and more every day to pass the proverbial smell test. Presently watching the video from the guy walking through NYC...very, very interesting.

Today, Spain reported more than 2000 new deaths from the China virus. So it may be hyped by the media but without a doubt it is a serious situation. Also it is clearly worse than the flu both because it is more contagious and because it is more deadly. It doesn’t look like it is as bad as the 1918 Spanish Flu but that could be because of the relatively quick response of governments through out the world to implement social distancing, etc. Fauci is predicting that it will be somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 deaths in the US. But that could be reduced if we are diligent in social distancing, etc. In any case, this is not just another flu. We are seeing countries in Europe who are much smaller than the US losing thousands per day.

It's an interesting article and they may have a point but it fails to explain why Italy and other countries are running out of vents. What is causing the rapid increase in demand for the vents? If it were just normal times and people were dying of flu and pneumonia, there would be sufficient resources to provide vents for everyone. But what is being reported is that hospitals are running out of available vents and are being forced to do such things as putting 2 people on the same vent or simply letting some people fend for themselves without a vent. So I will continue to be cautious with an open mind. If I had to pick an outcome from a) this is the real deal and b) this is a hoax, I would choose (b) every time. The only thing worse than a pandemic hoax is a real pandemic.

In normal times over 200,000 people die in the USA every month (2.8+ million per year). I think that 100,000 to 200,000 that they are predicting from the Covid19 are just the regular 200,000 that die every month re-classified as Corona virus deaths. I think there are well over 100 types of corona virus and we all have them in us, so anyone that dies can be said to have had a corona virus. This pandemic is specifically Covid19. a specific strain, they have no tests to determine if you have Covid 19, nor the amount you have. This all stinks of NWO cattle herding.

So in your opinion the 25 residents of the Washington nursing home who died in Feb 2020 was just garden-variety flu?
