While it's possible that Mr. Kavanaugh got drunk and acted like a lecherous jerk as a high school student in the early 1980s, it's equally possible that Ms. Blasey Ford was a drunken female floozy at the same sophomoric soiree. They should both resign from public life or both forget it because they've both moved on, ceasing long ago to engage in youthful folly. If it was so terrible, why didn't her parents go to the police and file charges? Why wasn't Mr. Kavanaugh expelled from high school for his reprehensible conduct?
In third grade, two boys, Terry McDonough and John Lombo, pulled down my tights and panties and touched me where they had no right. I smashed them on their heads with a metal lunchbox containing a metal, glass lined thermos. I got paddled for my actions, two weeks of no recess, and had to write apology letters to be read aloud to them. The boys got one day of recess detention. This was in March of 1969. My parents never found out because I didn't tell them. A paddling at school = another at home. Of course, this would be handled very differently in 2018. Back then, you had to fend for yourself more and not rely on adults, although the adults were more available. I beat them up separately after school, off school grounds. Neither boy said anything because in those dsys, no boy would ever admit to getting bested by a girl. Needless to say, neither boy ever went near me again, and no boys (or girls!) at school ever picked on me. So if I ever hear of Terry or John running for public office, I must assume they haven't changed at all since age 8 or 9, and go public with their abuse. No mind it was nearly a half century ago!
